in the Flanaess. He, aided by his very able general/priest Leuk-O, uses two very powerful items to defeat all who oppose

-388 CY Baron Lum defeats large Flanae force and departs
to south-east with Hextor's followers among Oerdian. For a short time he was acknowliged as high warlord of all Oerdians.
-381 CY Last recordings of Warlord Lum are made in
this year. He had gone and is considered dead from then on. Leuk-O, high priest of Hextor becomes warlord.
-380 CY Several tribes: Pictaves, Kalgonites, Diembres
and Aeredi refuse to yield to orders of Leuk-O. War among Oerdians begines.
-374 CY In battle of keep Garwad (todays southern
Fyrondy) Diembre followers of Hieronieus helped extensively by Aeredi mages succed in destroying army of Leuk-O and forcing
him to use spells to disappear from the battlefield. It is commonly held oppinion that something have gone wrong or that his
god was displeased by his performance on the battlefield for he had not been seen since.
360 CY Kalgonites and lot of smaller Oerdian tribes
divide from main stream of migration and go south-west to teritory of today Ulek-Keoland-Yeomenary states wich have been emptied
of majority of their Flanae inhabitants by exploits of Lum the Mad and Leuk-O.

his Oeridian realm in the Flanaess (todays northern Keoland) he crowns himself as a king.

most acomplished sorceres of all Oerdians. Highly tribalistic criteria in selecting students will lead to concetrating vast
magical power within that tribe.

human-elf wars have vastly depopulated area. Elves retreat to protect their remaining cities.
cca -280 First permanent settlements in what is going
to be Nyrond. Diembres and Aeredi are two major tribes to populate eastern part of a continet. That have to do with ambitious
and inqisitive nature of both of those tribes. In empty, fertile land both of those tribes enlarge and prosper.
-244 Establishment of Rel Deven, first walled city
builded by Oerdians. It was created by Aeredi first as a citadel for one of their wizard conclaves and later as trading post
and eventualy stronghold and military base. Aeredi influence in east enlarges considerably due to existance of the city.
cca -230 Several other cities have been created till
this year following pattern of Rel Deven (High walls and narrow streets.) Most impresive being:Rel Mord in west, Rel
Astra on far east and Rauxes wich designed to be major city for contoling all movement through what was known now as
"central Aeredi lands". Many Diembres assimilate to Aerdi population of the cities and bring their dialect and their Pholtus
worshiping. On north-west this assimilation was done to lesser extent to this point.
-217 CY Founding of the Kingdom of Aerdy. For
the next 100 years Aerdy absorbs other Oeridian states to the west . It's capital was elected Rauxes mainly because "Order"
wanted to keep powerfull nobleman out of seizing power over their conclave in Rel Deven.
-213 CY Geimel Cranden from minor noble family of
Aerdy becomes head of the "Order". He rediscovers quite few old flanae and even elven spells and becomes one of most powerfull
archmages of his time. He will be first head of the "Order" ever to hand his title to descendand based on familiar relationship.
-209 CY Church of Pholtus was established as major
faith of Aerdy, magnificent temple to sun-god was builded in Rauxes.
-198 CY Having recovered from their defeats, Flanae
tribes start organising to regain their land. They capture few small, unfortified towns and cities in todays eastern Nyrond.
-195 CY After innitial succeses, Flanae fall in bitter
internal strife between war leaders and Ur-Flanae sages about leadership. Aerdy startes to recover from initial shock.
-193 CY After one part of their army was defeated
but not destroyed by Aerdy, Ur-Flanae assume leadership of Flanae tribes. Bitter war startes with changing war fortune but
being mostly on Flanae side mainly because of great numbers and ferocity.
-185 CY Till this year almost all of todays Northern
Province and most of eastern Nyrond was controled by Flanae. Lots more of them come from north lands to join fight against
conqerors.
-182 CY Geimel Cranden dies and his nephew and succesor
Ferlaand Cranden becomes head of "order" despite being fairly young for the position (43)
-175 CY Vecnian cultists among Ur-Flanae get to positions

-160 CY Cautious peace starts as Aerdy trys to consolidate
it's forces and to find competent king to lead army aginst onslaught. Flanae use time to start negotiating an aliance with
Suel barbarians and other northerners. Their wizards desperately seek for hand and eye of Vecna.
-135 CY War startes again with increased intensity,
even Rel Deven was besieged for two months. Winter and mages skill have succed to break the sige even though relief force
was caught and routed while trying to pass through northern edges of Aerdi forest in "battle of sleeping trees".
-133 CY Paranoid mages of the "Order" start building
Permanence castle, on place of ancient Boccob's shrine, in order to protect copies of most valuable texts in case of fall
of Rel Deven.
-120 CY Flanae conques reache their peak as they pillage
and raid both Rel Mord and Rauxes. Last big Hieroneouses temple was destroyed. Many Aeredi turn to worshiping of Hextor, looking
for help against barbarians. King is taking refuge in Rel Astra wich for a some time becomes capital.
-118 CY Magical disortion happens on Permanence castle
as magic runs wild and few mages of the conclave die attempting to stop it from happening. Permanence is abandoned for time.
-117 CY King halfhartedly accepts offer of Hextorite
priests for help in rellying armies in return for recognition as second state faith.
-115 CY In this years mages of the Order discover
first hints of caludron of night and start extensive search towards it's location and properties.
-112 CY Finaly, deciding to fight their old enemies
inspite of their mistrust for allying with any humans elfs set forth in battle from their hidden cities in southern and central
Aerdy. No help came from lost cities of north. Treaty of Rel Astra was made between Fiel, lord of City of Eternal Dawn in
Granwood, oldest of all elven cities of Aerdi and exiled king Kalzabad of Rauxes.
-110 CY Battle of a Fortnight's Length. Probably
decesive battle in Oerth's history. Host of Aerdy and their elven allies have faced Barbarian aliance of north: Flanae with
their wizards and vast number of various Suloese tribes. It was fought at shortest day and longest night of that year and
that was both helpful to Aeredi because of advantage that their elven allies have had, but also it hidered them severely for
dark and necromantic magic of Ur-Flanae was enhanced. Finaly, just before the dawn Elves have breaken barbarian lines and
went on savage onslaught of Ur-Flanae. Not before Fiel was killed had them stoped, and then, more then seven thousand Ur-Flanae
lied dead on field. Never again they will be able to raise in war and they will continue to threat elves and man only through
machinations and manipulations over others. After their lord's death elves have returned back to their cities demanding to
be left alone for good. Place of this battle cannot be exactly pointed to, but all: Nyrond, Almor and Cranden lands claim
that it had happened within their borders. However, surest bet would be vast unocupied area between today's Bone March and
Nyrond
-108 CY Begines age of great expansion. Over next
hundred years Aerdi will conqere good two thirds of Flanaes.
-105 CY Hurven Cranden was first mage to discover
Caludron of Night. He dies at it's site, beiong unable to control strong magical flux caused by his own spells on that highly
sensitive site.
-104 CY Rebuilding of Rauxes starts. In same year
division happens within the "Order" as Crandens are trying to put their family members on all important positions in it. Majority
of other wizards cease and form several separate schools leaving however most of the library an Rel Deven itself in Cranden
Hands.
-103 King Kalzabad dies and is inherited by Kelebran
II who was long time soldier and warlord of armies in war against Flanae. He reforms army so warlords position ceases to be
inheritable and assumes right to appoint warlords. He divides army in "Royal Guard" "Western campaign army" and "Southern
campaign army" with purpose of reconquering all Oerdian lands.
-102 Aerdi reconqers todays Nyrond and turns further
west. Against them stand other Oerdian kingdoms and strong remains of Suel people along with migrating and barbaric Flanae.
-101 CY "Order of Wizards" effectively ceases to exist.
Crandens family however remain most respected mages of the kingdom.
-99 CY Azharadian, later to be known as "the Great"
is apointed warlord of "western campaign" by king in Rel Astra. He will be most succesful military leader ever to be
recorded in Oerth's annals of war. His exploits will lead him from Nyrond all the way to eastern Perenland. In over
40 years that he will lead Aerdi armies he will not lose or withdraw from major battle.
-97 CY Aerdi mages forge first magical blade: famous

-93 CY Azharadian defeats Suloise and their Oerdian
alies in battle for Duntide river. Aerdy coquers most of eastern Nyr Dyv.

Azharadian. They ask for help from elves of Celene and Dwarves of Lormists but only later send token force.
-89 CY Azhardian defeats Fyrondians in battle of port
Dyvers. Half of the host and king (Suel/Oerdian halfbreed) fly north.
-87 CY Azhardian lays siege to ancient flanae city
of Hardby.
-86 CY After almost a year of exhausting siege Hardby
surrenders to general, but is granted degree of self rule.
-84 CY While his southern army conqueres Pomarj and
todays Ulek lands, Azhardian turns northwards and in series of consequtive victories conquers rest of Fyrondy and Veluna.

-80 CY Azhardian finaly completes circle around Nyr
Dyv. He defeats last remains of Flanae/Suloese aliance in naval battle for Admundford. In this year he joines to his forces
in northern Urnst.
-78 CY Harsh weather, bareness of the land and constant
orc raids prove to general that it would be unwise continuing north. He turns east again and starts conquering todays Theocracy
of the Pale.
-76 CY Azhardian finishes his eastern conqest banishing
enormus number of Flanae people over the river Artonsamay. Then he returns to Rel Astra to recive his honors and hold a triumph
as a conqeror of most of the world. In 23 years of his exploits he have tripled the size of the empire
-73 CY Azhardian embarks on "southern campaign"
where he fights to claim all of today's southern province and big part of Suundi. Again bad swampy terrain forces him to return
with only half of his job finished in -71 CY
-67 CY Already aging general was sent to resume "western
campaign" and to bring Aerdy's borders to the "last sea".
-65 CY After destroying several minor rebelions on
his way back Azhardian starts campaign to conquer Perenland. To avoid conflict with elves and fight in unfavourable terain,
he avoids Vesve and goes on long and slow conqest of easily defendable Velverdyva valey.
-63 CY Perhaps most briliant of all batles of Azherdains
wars was battle of Velverdyva canyon where he have used almost imposible terain to fool his opponents into atacking him instead
of defending their well fortifyed positions. He gains great victory and secure passage through canyon.
-62 CY General gets to the Lake Quag. He is sure that
it must be very near "last sea" or the ocean on the west but have to turn back to destroy rebelion in Veluna.
-61 CY Verweln Cranden cooperating with mages
from Rel Astra and Rauxes, whose names are lost, finaly succeds in controling to certain extent stuff of the caludron of night.
Liquid or "living" steel is used for first time to transport it.
-60 CY Altrough victorious again general is stricken
with powerful astmatic atack and shiped by sea back to Rel Astra. He was sick of this disease for a while already and some
say that he aquired it while was fighting in swamps of Sundi, other that it was hereditary and that he had it ever since childhood.
In same year dukedom of Velune was established.
-59 CY Sea air, on way back home, helped general to
recover and after brief visit to his family and friends in Rel Astra he rejoins army on south in winter campaign against Onwal
tribes on peninsula of the same name. Harsh winter rains in that part of the world have destroyed general's health utterly
and he falls as victim of disease again. He dies of flu on his way back to Rel Astra but not before he had assured that Onwall
had become part of Great Kingdom of Aerdy. Thus ends glorious and long carrier of a man wich have played perhaps single most
important part in Aerdy history. Armies that he have led and created will continue to be invincible, except for few minor
exemptions over next several centuries. His legacy of over twenty major and hundreds minor battles had become example
for generations of Aerdy military leaders. His dream of empire from sea to sea have remain unfullfilled and as it seams it
never will be. However his exploits have for first time made people of Flanaes aware of each other and results of his campaigns
are geographical maps so acurate and well made that some of them are used even today.
-57 CY King Kalzabad III dies in hunt. His two doughters
mary noblemen from houses Torquen and Garasteth. Nobles of most houses elect Garled Torquan for a king. Begines period
of elective kings wich have not had little power over certain nobleman, and none over mages of Rel Deven. In conquered
provinces army commanders, still remaining from Azharadian's times keep empire from disintegrating through civil war.
-54 CY Rebuilding of Rauxes is finished, it's wals
being almost inpregnable to outside attack. Capital is not moved back however, for several noble families contest over kingship.
-53 CY Assasin war starts between houses of Torquen
and Garasteth for kingship of Aerdi. Series of elected kings and elector nobles will be killed by oposing side over next half
century. Neither of families dare try to call upon vast provincial armies to fight for their cause because nobody is certain
on wich side lay alliegances of Seimel Besequr, great warlord of "western campaign" elected by Azharadian himself.
-38 CY Cranden mages begine extensive undergroud work
conecting Rel Deven with caludron of Night.
-7 CY Seimel Besequr begines negotiations with mages
of Rel Deven about ways to stop assasin war.
-5 CY Council of Rel Deven ends assasin war as all
houses agree to pass electorat to council of wise composed of major mages and priests of kingdom.

Cranden as Overking of all Aerdy with way greater power then kings have had before him. His coronation however was postponed
for five years during wich time council of electors was to assure that king will have absolute support from all houses. Rauxes
is again elected capital.
-3 CY Royal fostering is established as a custom.
-1 CY Celever Cranden, archmage of Rel Deven with
help from numerous mages and priests of counsil of electors creates Malachite Thron and places it in palace in Rauxes as a
seat for new king. Same year council banes itself and reestablishes rule of primogeniture in ascending position of Overking.
1 CY Crowning Nasron, of the House of
Cranden, as the Overking of Aerdy. Thus begines most glorious charpter in Aerdy history. Altrough Crandens will rule through
comparatively short period time of their rule will be always known as golden age for greatest achievements in art, magic and
statemanship have happened during that time. On Richfeast of that year Narson I declares Pax Aerdy (Aerdian peace) through
empire.
2 CY Army commanders from all parts of the Empire
come to swear alligeance to king. This was against old custom that they primary alligeance was to their noble houses. Narson
divides "western campaign" into: "Army of Fyrondy",small but efficient "Velverdyva army" where most of old students of Azharadian
went, "Shield Army" wich was supposed to protect empire from orcish raids from the north. "Army of Rel Mord" wich was from
very begining under control of Nyrond noble house, even when chief appointed general was not from that house and "Lortmil
Army" wich have had to face those few still unconquered Oerdian lands. "soutern campaign he divides into : "Sea Barons", virtualy
ocean navy of Great Kingdom, "Hestmark army" and one of the most elite "Glorioles Army". He establishes elite units within
Royal Guard and increases number of ordinary gardists so that they virtualy become army of central lands.
31 CY Narson Cranden dies and is buried in family
tomb in Rel Deven. His second son Belver becomes overking.
32 CY Narsons brother, Schandor Cranden is appointed
royal mage by his nephew. He will be one more of those people who have marked history of Aerdy and we might even say world.
33 CY Schandor Cranden with help of some other mages
and sages and also with high priests of several Lawful religions startes to write "Lex Aerdy" first Oerdian code of Laws,
one that will continue to be used for generations and to wich at least lip service is paid even today under degenerate Naelax
kings.
38 CY "Lex Aerdy" is finished and started to be employed
by overkings. It was seven hundred page long code wich established proper place in society to anybody, from king to lowliest
peasants and slaves.
40 CY Belver Cranden dies of fever and his baby son
Celeb becomes overking. Schandor becomes regent.
41 CY First violation of Pax Aerdy happens as Avaric,
general of Fyrondian Army, rebels against overking. He start skirmishing with "Velverdyva army" and great number of soldiers
desert both armies. Schandor sends one department of Royal Guard including elite legion to combat rebel.
42 CY General Veixers of Elite Legion defeats Avaric
and returns triumfaly to Rauxes. Schandor awards him with title of leader of newly formed "Guard Companion". This contraversal
unit will be source of much disagreement between chroniclers of live of Schandor Cranden. While more traditional ones are
atacking him for giving ultimate wapon of opression into hands of overkings, other praise him for postpoining and reducing
chances of civil war in Aerdy. In any case Companion guard will be from that year chief force for destroying Nobleman
rebelions and any other kind of civil disobedience within empire. They are sworn loyal to "..one who with blessing of the
patriarchs is sitting on the Malachite throne.." and are recruited from most competent soldiers in the whole empire. Their
number will vary between one and seven hundred but will stabilise on 200 heavy knights with 500 reserves ready to take place
of those fallen.
43 CY Schandor recognizes Zilchuses fate as third
major religion of the empire in order to keep balance and encourage trade and well-being.
44 CY Schandor with help of lawfull patriarchs esatablishes
"Chamber of Essence" in Rauxes, necessary aditions are made to "Lex Aerdy".
46 CY Altrough succesfull in their attempts to create
underground "highway" from Rel Deven to Caludron of night, Cranden mages discover wast underground chambers populated with
several inteligent species. Most dangerous off all, semi aquaeous creatures called Kuo-Toa chalenge Cranden rights to underground
rute and start atacking builders and mages of Cranden.
47 CY Several marriages mark combining of two important
noble houses, that of Rax, from south-east and Nyrond from north. This house sudenly become one of most prestigeous and richest
both in politiucal influence and estates.
48 CY In spite of attacks, several Cranden nobleman
both mages and other dare to exploit vast underground that was discovered. Few skatchy maps have been made. Cranden wizards
decide to make few underground libraries and to move some of their magical potential underground so it can be outside grasp
of the nobleman.
50 CY Kuo Toan attacks increase in severity as Cranden
try to establish small harbour on rim of sunless sea.
51 Schandor builds new noble's quater in Rauxes. In
same year he orders building walled city on place of former keep Dyvers in Fyrondy and also building of Eastfair on the north.
54 CY Celeb Cranden comes of age and takes reigning
scepter from his uncle. He will be noted as probably best but definitely one of untactfull kings of golden age. During his
reign starts bitter quarel between Crandens from Rel Deven and those from Rauxes.
57 CY Dies Schandor Cranden, law giver and builder,
one of those rullers who will be remembered more on what they gave than on what they have conquered.
59 CY One of most revered Cranden mages was killed
in Kuo Toan attack in what now becomes to be known as "Underdark". Mages swear to retaliate with greatest force. Unwilling
to explain his purposes, for Cranden mages did not want overkings influence over their dealings in underdark, new head of
family mages demands from Celeb that several musters of soliders should be putted under direct controll of Rel Deven to serve
in some unexplained conflict. King refuses and with proud words sends mage away. Silently Yaverl Cranden leaves capital never
to return.
60 CY Cranden start building and equiping troups,
mainly from serfs and peasants from their own lands in clear defiance of "Lex Aerdy". Outraged king arests several of his
mage cousins and threats that he will use companion guard if Crandens do not stop their activities. Yaverl seamingly capitulates
as he disbands few of newly created musters (having alreday send several more into underdark on their future training)
and sends letter to king. On surface it was formal apologise for rebelious behaviour, however to all who know secret phrase
language of Cranden it was outright insult and even threat to kings life. Quite strong one when comes from most powerfull
mage in the kingdom and also head of king's own family.
61 CY Starts hidden war between Crandens and Kuo Toa.
King altrough enraged looks away as several thousand Cranden vasals "disappear" somewhere east of Rel Deven.
62 CY After initial succeses Crandens find themselves
in bad situation concerning Kuo Toan war. Their wizards were too important and too few, to risk in actual battles and Kuo
Toas were formidable fighters, certainly more formidable then trained peasants that Crandens have employed. Yaverl however
tries to make several elite units of Royal Guard to pass to Cranden side, being almost sure that overking will not dare to
act against him. He is succesful in one case and one of overking's best man Pajarifan, leader of Rangers of the North, small
guard detachment wich was constantly looking for and exterminating Orc settlements in still unconquered areas had been won
for Cranden side. Yaverl presents him with Finslayer, specificaly made magical blade and sends him with majority of his soldiers
to help war in underground.
King was not able to stand any longer and after he have discovered that Crandens are efectively
making their own kingdom underground, and that they are taking over his own people, he sends Companion Guard to Rel Deven
with order to arrest Yaverl. Being unable to fight this royal threat, mages surrender Yaverl to Companion Guardists and ask
for king's appologise. King remove Companion Guard from Rel Deven accepting, what he thought about as sincere apologise of
his kinsmen. However he refuse to abolish Yaverl and he accepts king offer to commit suicide on his way back to Rel Deven.
King takes over underground war, abolishes Pajarifan and gives him supreme command of underground forces of Empire.
63 CY Dyvers is officialy recognized as seat of legat
(military comander) of Fyrondy. In same year Pajarifan seamingly disapear as he embarks on inteligence aquireing trip deep
beihind enemy lines in tunels that do not lead towards sunless sea.
64 CY Pajarifan returns and brings help in form of
small nation of underground gnomes. This nation have fled in front of Drow advances deeper underground and have been wandering
aimlessly before Pajarifan offered them protection of Aerdy forces in return to help of their mages and ilusionists in war.
65 CY Eastfair is builded. Hextorites start to make
it their Capital. In order to balance it with religion more to it's liking and also to have nearby city in case of new rebelion
in Rel Deven, Celeb sends thousands of Pholtus worshipers to build city for themselves on mouth of Harp river. City
is going to be named Chathold.
66 CY War in underground comes to stalemate as Pajarifan
succeds in driving Kuo Toa back into sunless sea but is unable to exterminate them utterly nor to secure rute over sea to
position of caludron. In same year old grudge between Garastath and Torquann erupts again as Jaan Torquann seduces and then
abandons doughter of one important Garastath noble. Young lady kills herself and Garastath demand death penalty for Jaan.
King sends his envoys to investigate but they were unable to find anything out for young lovers have gave their best to conceal
everything from their families. King proposess summoning of Jaan Torquann into Chamber of Essence but Havel Garastath unwilling
to have his doughters shame revealed in front of three patriarchs declines and removes his family request.
67 CY Fortgar Cranden, new archmage of Rel Deven defies
king's order to go personaly and help in underground war. He answers by pointing to his young age and lack of experience.
King disbeliefs him but is unable to prove anything. Quarel between Rel Deven and Rauxes deepens. In same year Jaan Torquann
fall as victim of assasination. His body was dismembered in particulary unpleasant way, and king accuses house of Garastath.
68 CY Havel Garastath have been tryed in Chamber of
Essence and executed for aranging of killing of fellow nobleman. However several more deaths within house of Garastath quickly
follow. In same year several barbarian raids on northern borders are recorded.
69 CY Neither Torquann nor Garastath raise any charges
and both houses go to great lenght to conceal deaths that might lead heads of both houses to Chamber of Essence but it is
sure that new war of assasins is raging. King is unable to summon any help from Rel Deven in order to cease this quarel.
70 CY Hextorites in north again increase in number
as many folk look for protection of war god against increasing northman raids.
71 CY King decides to against family tradition employ
non Cranden court mage. His choice becomes half- Flan wizard named Weylin with few drops of elvish blood.Weylin was great
friend of elves of Grenwood and he was one of rare people who were allowed to come in City of Eternal Dawn. Weylin proves
as excelent diplomat as he succeds by combination of threats and promises to cease second assasin war without executing heads
of the houses and thus causing confusion.
72 CY On one of his lonely expeditions to deep below,
Pajarafan disapears. It is commonly held oppinion that he was slain in fight with some monsters, for he was never seen or
heard about again on surface.
73 CY Kuo Toa decide on last big strike against invaders.
In large number they assault uppon king's soldiers. For short time they reconquer some parts of "highway". In same year
scandal aproaches as it is discovered that deep romantic relationship exist between sixtien years old prince heir, Tenmeris
Cranden and Yarlanda, doughter of his father's court wizard. Being commoner would be bad enough, being quarter Flanae was
terrible. Nobles would never accept her as their queen. In winter this year Rel Devenians finaly stricked. Their plan
was to kill the king and to offer to nobles to choose between Tenmeris and his cousin Flavy, former aprentice to Frotgar the
archmage. They have also went to resume control over remains of underground army and to finaly drive Kuo Toa back to sea.
Eleven years of contemplation by best sages and wizards of the empire have proved succesfull, Celeb dies of unexplicable fever
that to many have smelt on Necromantic magic. Weylin sends young king and his own doughter to safety of Granwood where elves
will take care of them, shortly before he himself dies in obviously magical duel. However, he have proved tougher then Frotgar
has expected for when his body was found it was almost obvious that only one man might have been his killer, Frotgar himself.
Faced with choice between almost obvious killer's aprentice and young heir in love, nobles grudgefully decided in favour of
later. In underdark, mages have stricked on Kuo Toa as they had not expected it. In swift attack war was over and fish-man
retreated to sea to lick their wounds.
74 CY Young Tenmeris Cranden becomes king of Aerdy,
he will renew good relationship with Elves and is consider best of Golden age rulers. Altrough he became king quite young
he was succesfull ruler and to his wisdom is atributed cease of military rule over conquered provinces. Also he is along with
his father responsible to increasing number and influence of Pholtus worshipers. He will rule for more then sixty years signaling
with his death an end to the golden age. His wife will soon, instead of animosity, gain undivided love from her subjects.
Comoners and nobles alike will learn to love their good-hearted and wise queen which will solve most of problems that have
troubled internal relationships between great houses for decades. Lawfull and good in all respects both of them will be hated
only by those most selfish of their subjects. Unfortunately in this category have fallen mages of Rel Deven. On noble's request
soon after assuming Malachite Thron, young king have ordered Frotgar to appear in Chamber of Essence and to answer for murder.
Frotgar answered that murder of common man is not crime to be tried in Chamber and have sent king's messangers back to Rauxes.
King demanded his expulsion from Rel Deven and thretened with Companion Guard but mages refused and politely informed king
that attack on Rel Deven would mean civil war, for they said "..our walls now are strong enough to withstand even Companion
Guard.. For a while..". Listening to his beloved wife, king have called off his charges against mages because he knowed that
nobleman will not be impressed if he started his reign by employing Companion guard in case of doubtfull legality, for by
"Lex Aerdy" slaying of commoner realy was not crime to be tried in front of the patriarchs, even if commoner was court mage
(thing unimaginable in time when "Lex.." was writen). Yarlanda however advised Tenmeris to put Rel Deven under close scrutiny
by both nobles and patriarchs in order not to allow them to create their own parallel state.
75 CY Tenmeris and his Queen, Yalranda rule
Aerdy. From long closed City of Eternal Dawn and even from depth of Adri elven envoys started coming to Rauxes. Capital of
the World was enriched with beauty and song and artists and mages of Rel Astra and Rauxes went to elven cities to teach and
to be tought. Library in Rauxes starts to grow, hoping even to surpass that in now isolated Rel Deven.
76 CY Tenmeris Cranden creates University of Rauxes,
first institution of that kind of in the world. For almost four hundred years it will be bastion of learning and enourmous
ammount of information will be obtained by it's scholars. Even in the day of mad kings university will remain oasis of sanity
in Rauxes.
77 CY King starts building of Zelradton.
78 CY After almost fiftien years of building with
help of Elven masons, beautiful city of Chathold is finaly finished. Contesting in its beauty even with Rel Astra it became
one of kings favorite places and his summer palace was located there. With king's permission patriarch of Pholtus move his
residence to newly builded city.
79 CY Yarlanda kept closed meeting between heads of
houses of Torquann and Garasteth. It is unknown what have happened on the meeting but after it old grudge slept for several
decades.
80 CY Old Garasteth fiefs of Roland and Ountsy finaly
gained walls in this year and growed enough to be called cities.
84 CY Rax-Nyrond noble house have replaced Crandens
as major house in central lands of old Aerdy (those around Rauxes). Mixture of land grants by king and buying of land from
Rel Deven mages and other who did not care for it have made them posses now not only good part of today's Nyrond but also
enormously large track's of land in south east. Philip of Rel Mord, head of the house was elected commander in chief of royal
army and keeper of king's seal.
87 CY Encouraged by Aerdy's friendship with their
traditional allies, Grey Elves, Dwarves of Iron Hills offer their friendship to king. Many dwarves get to Rauxes to trade
and to employ their blacksmithing skills in king's service. In return, Tenmeris grants them independence in Iron Hills and
they start building aboveground battlements and buildings on place that will become Iron Gate, capital of Dwarves in
the east.
89 CY House Darmen was accepted as major house after
they have from they own coffers financed building of city of Kalstrand. Kalstrand was first city in Aerdy not to follow example
setted by Rel Deven long time ago. Streets were much wider and walls smaller and thinner. Several majestic buildings surrounded
by parks dominated city. It lied on much larger area than any other excluding Rauxes itself and it was visible that it was
builded to show both wealth and taste of builders.
90 CY Church of Zilchus moves to Kalstrand.
94 CY Starts second rebelion on the west. Together
with attack of Keolanders, Legat of Fyrondy declares independence and tries to make pact with southerns. More out of stubbornes
and vanity then with real ill will mages of Rel Deven declines to give even symbolical, divining help. King sends lord Philip
with parts of "Shield army", "Rel Mord army" and several units of Royal Guard. He does not send Companion Guard for two reasons,
one was not to insult loyal general by sending him troops that he will be unable to command. Other is that Companion Guardists
were primarily invented to fight nobleman within. Large army of Keoland combined with almost all of "Fyrondian army" was to
much for their fairly small number.
95 CY Lord Philip succeds to divide Keolanders from
their northern ally by conquering castle Weltder in southern Fyrondy. however he was besieged in castle for month and a half
before Shieldlanders have come to his help. He drives rebels back and in counter attack comes near Dyvers itself. Winter stops
him but he encampes his force and send some number to spend winter in their forts in south.
96 CY Early in spring, before lord Philip have mustered
his army again, rebels attack him with reinforcements from north. Soon he was forced to flee and cuted from his planed emergency
retreat into Perenland. He would be destroyed, and with him probably rule of Aerdy over Fyrondy if Velunian units in Fyrondian
army have not refused to obbey orders and joined to Lord Philip's forces encamped near Littleberg. In battle for Littleberg
combined forces of Aerdy and Veluna have won over rebeled Fyrondians and legat was captured. Most of remaining army surrendered
to mercy of lord Philip.
97 CY After defeating Keolanders in series of skirmishes
after wich they were unable to seriously threat empire, lord Philip returns triumphaly to Rauxes. Prince heir, Margwel
Cranden maries on that year doughter of lord Philip and on that day ono of most important and long ranging political decisions
in Aerdy history was made. Instead of bride taking Imperial surname and becoming lady Cranden, young prince decided, advised
strongly by his father, to change his surname to Rax-Nyrond. That was wise decision. In that way, Rax-Nyrond have effectively
become semi-ruling house with prospects of becoming rulers of all Aerdy. Surely, for any king support and close family ties
with loyal rich and powerfull house of Rax-Nyrond were more important then doubtful ties with ostracised magic using family
isolated in single city and surrounding fiefs. Formaly, there was Cranden on the thron for forty more years, until death
of Tenmeris but effectively, days of Crandens as royal house were over and archmages have understood it.
99 CY In order to prevent further unrest in conquered
lands king summons all of his nobleman and several important military leaders to council in Rauxes. This council is considered
first of five great councils that have tken place in history of great kingdom. On that council he proposes end to military
rule over western empire and decides to give noble tites, even semi-royal titles to some of lesser nobleman and to send them
to rule west. Major division goes along Selentine river and middle Nyr Dyv and divides empire in kingdom of Aerdy and Viceroyalty
of Fyrondy. Giving to most rebelious province such high stsnding was calculated to make friend from an enemy. Appointing local
nobleman who was not even Aeredy by nationality a Viceroy enraged both Torquann and Garasteth who coveted title for themselves
but probably was wise move because it gave Fyrondians, especialy those of Kalgonite and Pictave origin feeling that they rule
themselves and thus they have become less rebelious. Veilereked Deiseer, newly appointed viceroy was however carefuly selected,
by queen and several other king's closest advisors, and highly loyal to Malachite thron. Nor he nor any of his family ever
rebeled against Aerdy and were loyal to Rax-Nyrond kings even when some of Aerdy nobles were against them. Aerdy itself was
divided in four major parts: Western most one, on shores of Nyr Dyv and further east, almost all the way to the Adri forest
were considered under control of Duke of Rel Deven. Primarily name for them was Western Province but because of long time
of domination of house Nyrond in this parts they begine to be called Lands of Nyrond or later just Nyrond. All the land from
Yol river in the north to hundred and fifty miles north of Rauxes were called the North Province, and were under official
jurisdiction of Duke of Eastfair. However most northwestern part wich was from Kalstrand divided by southern part of high
Raker Mountains ant therefore made more of geografical unity with Nyrond was populated by Diembre tribes mixed with remaining
Flanae. Neither of two peoples realy liked Hextorites that have ruled Eastfair, so it become very self sufficient and
tryed to rely on the rest of empire as less as posible and even when they had they have done so on Nyrondese and almost never
on Eastfair. Duke himself never realy cared for that land of grim and poor miners and logers who have not been able to pay
in taxes cost of keeping a sizable military force there so he just let them go. On the other hand those lands were official
claim of Northern Province and that is important to remember. Third part was what was for short time called Eastern Province
and was under direct command of the king. All lands from Delaric to Thelly and Mikar Rivers and from western rim of Adri to
Solnor Ocean belonged to this area wich soon began to be called "old lands" and sometimes just Aerdy as if something have
forshadowed destiny of great kingdom. Last part was Southern Province wich was called by it's inhabitants by one of
it's largest parts Ahlissa. It runed from Thelley and Mikar river south into bogs and marches of Suundi. It was richest part
of Aerdy both in wealth of it's inhabitants and in argricultural potential and thus greatest conflict erupted about controll
of those lands. Major pretendents were Darmen who were geograficaly best placed to rule from their city of Kalstrand but they
have soon been puted aside as conflict started between two of most revered and oldest families of the empire. Garasteth of
Rel Astra and Naelax from Rel Deven. If other person was duke of Rel Deven king would not be able do decline to his cousins
something wich they as oldest and most important family of empire have deserved. However archmage of the city (title forever
connected with dukedom) was still Fortgar Cranden, now in his ninth decade of life. Old and arogant, still hating king for
defeating him almost thirty years ago. Despite advice from his councelors and even his wife which have hated Fortgar as much
as he did, Tenmeris was unable to give Southern Province in hands of man for whome he knew to be his father's killer. Garsareths
were given dukedom over Southern Province and Rel Astra was elevated over Rel Deven. Bad choice because no matter how sometimes
mages of the Rel Deven were arogant and selfish, they were, and will prove to be, keepers of order and sanity in what will
become Aerdy. Garasteth in contrary were too divided internaly, too prone to anger to be efective rullers of any large track
of land. Declining it power over Ahlissa was degrading Rel Deven to role of passive observer of things that are going to happend,
not powerfull enough to change anything.
100 CY Viceroyalty of Furyondy was officialy
founded on first day of this year. Loyal king's officer Veilereked Deiseer was appointed Viceroy and second most important
person of the empire. Elevation of this low-ranking nobleman over powerfull Aerdi dukes enraged many a nobleman. Not last
of wich was now old Duke Philip of Nyrond, man who hoped for supremacy over West, as he was military conqueror of Fyrondy.
King however decided to give position to someone who will have more support from local population. Viceroyalty of Fyrondy
was further divided. From Velverdyva to Veng River was viceroy's personal province wich become known as simply Fyrondy. It
was land of people hostile to Aeredi, Pictaves and Kalgonites in origin with strong feudal customs it was hard for them
to accept military rule that lasted for almost hundred years and wich have depraved their lords of their feudal rights. Uppon
assuming his position viceroy reestablished old division of the land in Noble Estates from each of which certain ammount of
soldiers was to be sent to him if need be. Those estates were divided between his knights and some of old Fyrondian families
that have sworn him loyalty. Such estates were 43 in number and their existance spelled an end for "Fyrondian army". Emperor
removed them from Fyrondy giving full comand of now feudal army to viceroy. Emperor have however remained in direct command
of "Shield Army" mainly because it was to important strategicaly to be removed, and secondly because cold lands north of Nyr
Dyv were not likely to attract enough nobleman to create effective feudal army. Also under kings personal command remains
"Velverdyva Army" because of it's tradition as best army in all Aerdy and it's close relationship to legendary general Azhardian.
South-Western Fyrondy regains it's old Flanae-Oerdian name as it becomes Dukedom of Veluna. This land was settled mainly by
Diembres and several Kalgonite tribes. Of all parts of Great Empire it was most fatefull to good religions, not so much for
that of Pholtus but more for original Oerdian worshiping of Hextor and later of Pelor and Rao. Velverdyva valey in the north
have not officialy become part of Fyrondy. Perenland remained personal domain of the king and thus Velverdyva army avoided
feudal disintegration that have happened to other western armies. For short time there will be Fyrondian millitary presence
in lands of Ulek, south of Lormists but not much connection ever was between those far off provinces and the rest of the empire
and they soon get self rule from viceroy altrough they still paid lip service and some rare taxes to the empire.
101-135 CY So at the end of first century of it's
existance Great kingdom of Aerdi entered its longest period of unmolested peace. Towers of southern Veluna and arms
of those brave people have kept Keoland at bay, "Shield Army" was protecting north from orcs and other vile creatures from
frozen north. Fyrondy was stendfast against all barbarian raids and all lands of south east paid their homage to Rauxes. So
it happened that for thirty six years no battle larger than skirmish will happen in all of Aerdi. Stone roads were connecting
large cities and trade flourished. Tenmeris ruled in Rauxes and Deiseer in Dyvers and no objection was raised to their rule
by any of the nobleman. Cranden mages went back to their exploration of the occult and were heard for no more for certain
time in Rauxes, three patriarchs judged cases and enforced law and proggres from their high temples in Chathold, Eastfair
and Kalstrand. New cities have been build and to everybody it seamed that golden age must reign forever. Elves of Granwood
were friendly to humans as were Dwarves of Irongate. Later traveled a lot by sea and roads and created lasting friendship
with nobles of Veluna and Fyrondy.
107 CY The Overking of Aerdy constructs Castle
Millennium at Seawolf Point proclaiming at the same time following millenium of peace for Aerdi. This castle with its enourmous
underground lake linked to the sea, become one of major ports for ever greater royal navy for Tenmeris have dreamed of building
so impresive navy that he will be able to land in southwest and to take over Keoland without war. In following years two great
navies, that of Solnor ocean (stationes at Sea Baron islands) and that of Azure sea (in Millenium and Prymp) will compete
for kings favours building more and greater ships.
109 CY Ferenbrand finishes "The History of the Aeredy",
major historical work of early days of the empire.
111 CY King's expeditions to south establish small
ports on edges of Amedio and Hempomoland jungles.
117 CY Barbarians from furtherest north (Hold of stonefist
and both Frost and Snow tribes) send hostages and great gifts in silver and wrought iron to king as sign of friendship after
encountering one fleet of Solnor ocean navy.
119 CY Old city of Greyhawk is build as one of trading
ports on Nyr Dyv and as center for sheep herding tn the area. It's significance however, besides such cities as Hardby and
Dyvers in vincity remains minnimal.
129 CY Margwell Cranden, only son to king, dies when
his ship encounters large water snake and was destroyed. King declares year of mourning.
130 CY Having no more direct accendants king declares
second son of duke Philip, Kelven Nyrond as his succesor on the thron of the Aerdy. From this year on Tenmeris will not enjoy
life anymore and will spend more and more time in company of his wife and his best friend from childhood, elf, Estrandir of
the city of Eternal Dawn. Too often king will be in Granwood and not in Rauxes, Yarlanda effectively rules empire. However,
no rebelion happends for no nobleman even thought of disturbing "millenial peace". Golden years continue even when king
have lost his will to rule. Important to mentio is that never again have king mentioned his choice of succesor nor have he
even called uppon young Kelven to join him in Rauxes and to partialy take place of fallen prince. Young man will remain in
Rel Deven and his loyalties will be given to his father duke and wellbeing of Nyrond, much more then to the empire.
137 CY Dies Tenmeris Cranden, last Cranden to rule
Aerdi and also last ruller of the golden age. He dies sitting on the malachite thron while listening to the Estrandir's song
and keaping hand of his wife and childhood lover Yarlanda. She, altrough also in ninth decade of life still loked youngish
or better to say ageless for elven blood of her family have blosomed in her. However after kings death she felt that her youth
has come to the end. Also she have seen that young Kelven is ready to assume kingship he takes body of her housband and leaves
for Granwood without escort and never again is heard for her in all Aerdi.
She bids Estrandir to remain and help new king to
rule wisely and young elf accepts her bidding as he wished her farewell. In September of this year patriarchs meet in Rauxes
to welcome and crown Kelven I as overking of Aerdi. Then two things happend that will turn history of great kingdom and thus
rest of the world in new and evil direction. First of all, Kelven comes from the north, not with friendly retinue of several
relatives and servants but with good part of Army of Nyrond. Unhindered they march towards Rauxes, demanding that all recognise
him as a sovereign even before crowning. This seemed more like occupation then as crowning of the rightfull king to many nobles,
even to those of Rax branch of the family, relatives to the future king. However, no one still wished to interfere with order
of deceased king and Kelven was accepted in Rauxes and nobles gathered to sworn loyalty to him. Then second event happened,
one of few remaining Cranden nobleman who have hold land in relative vincity of Rauxes accused Kelven of falsifying
kings will in order to take ancestral crown from Cranden family. We are still not sure what prompted Ferem Cranden to such
a stupid act, for there was no slighest trace of doubt that king planned to give power to Rax-Nyrond house and it was known
to all that Kelven was declared succesor in presence of two patriarchs among other. However, charge had been laid and now,
according to lex-Aerdi patriarchs were to investigate it. Kelven's crowning was to be postponed. Kelven reacted
furiously by accusing patriarch of Pholtus of not less then treachery because he happened to be distant relative of Cranden
house and was one that urged most for detail investigation of Ferem's charges. This was unwise for young prince because Derem
Allwir Cranden of Pholtus was stern and unforgiving men. He listened patiently for prince to finish his tirade and then left
the room assured that this man must not become king. "Investigation" dragged on several weeks and all involved become nervous.
Kelven wanted thron and wanted it now for he had great plans about redistribution of the land and great wars in the north.
Nobles wanted king and chance to go home, back to their fiefs, but increasingly they thought that young man is not that good
choice for a sovereign for many of them have realised his rashness, bad temper and reliance on army, particulary Nyrondese
army. Army itself, brought to the cappital completly unnecessary, as show of force of one megaloman, started to grow restless.
Street fights with regular Rauxes soldiers, drinking and gambling have led them several times to conflict with Companion Guard
itself for it were they who were responsible to make order in Rauxes. When after one night in bordell, some high Nyrondese
army official was arrested by companion guard for disrespectfull behaviour and fighting, prince Kelven got mad. He himself
ran to second in command of Companion Guard, one Regwel Thain and asked for immediate release of his man. an appologise !
There was no discussion with future emperor and Thain and supreme warden of Rauxes, Lerwer Eskker, commander of the Companion
Guard, both soldiers of finest quality and reputation have had to appologise to drunken northerner. This was not greatest
way for acquiring loyalty of Companion Guard. Derem of Pholtus dragged investigation for almost a three months hoping that
something will give him reason not to crown Kelven. Prince himself provided him with good material. Almost imprisoned in capital
young northerner entered into affair with very beautiful young girl that belonged to some minor branch of Darmen family. When
this was discovered (and many say that Patriarch Derem have had his hand in that discovery) Darmens politely asked future
king to marry girl. Rash Nyrondese refused, for he have had betrohted in Rel Mord, claiming that all affair was girl's fantasy.
Now honour of Darmen's was on stake and another charge was laid against future king, this time one that was legible to quick
proof. Both prince and girl were summoned into Chamber of Essence. Here Kelven was to answer in front of patriarchs for his
behaviour. It was obvious that his honour and future marrige will be destroyed and with them last fragment of respect that
he have had in eyes of nobleman. Patriarchs of Hextor and Zilchus however were not willing to put kingdom in crisis by discrediting
practicaly only legitimate clamant for throne. They have let him slip through their examination by half truths that obscured
rather then revealed actual state of things.
Derem however was not willing to let things go. He interogated prince and
led him into impossible situation where he was forced, not only to admitt truth of his relationship with Darmen girl but also
his attempted lies in chamber of essence. Faced with utter dishonouring and probably with losing forever his chances to assume
kingship and even more with scorn of his relatives and hatered of both girls, one he wanted to mary and one he seducced Kelven
chosed only possible path for a man of his temperament. He have drawn hus sword, first and last time in chamber of essence
and before Companion Guard get to interfere Derem of Pholtus lied death on the floor of chamber. In same momment Companion
guardists rushed into the room and shot prospective king with dozen crossbow bolts. Soon, news reached nobleman. Patriarchs
were left with terrible situation on their hands with most senior of them death and without legitimate heir to the throne.
Old duke Philip was sent for and also prince Ebbert, older brother to deceased Kelven. Two patriarchs have made decision to
proclame Ebbert's son Gudwin, now only six years old as heir and to acknowlidge old duke of Rel Mord as regent until new Patriarch
of Pholtus is elected and crowning of the child king can happend. This was to much for nobleman. In this momment nobody
wanted Nyrondese on the throne, especialy not six year old and capricious one. Darmens and Torquen declared that they will
not listen to any king until Pholtuses patriarch is not elected and grand council is made to ellect new king. Old duke
tried uppon his arrival to remove cause of the quarell with nobleman going so far as to offer status of his doughter in law
to young Darmen countess that was seduced by his son. It seamed that after all, this crisis will pass without any more bloodshed
but then bad news came from Chathold.
138 CY In exceptionaly mild winter, riders of Ket
have attacked unprepared Fyrondy from west and thus have ended longest period of Pax Emporium that have happened to great
kingdom. However in this momment for those in Rauxes more important connotation of that attack was that important priests,
high priest of Mirtik and holy censor of Dyvers, of Pholtus will not be able to attend meeting in Cathold until at earliest
spring when eventualy Feudal army will be able to stricke back and to draw riders to their land. This implied that no patriarch
of Pholtus was to be ellected and no emperor will be crowned in following months. To make bad situation worst, duke Philip
died this late in February this year leaving, by dictate of patriarchs, regent's possition to Ebbert. Particular kind of stubborness
was implemented in Ebbert, not unlike that of his brother. He was rash and brave. He also belived in supremcy of Rel Mord
over all other cities in the land and in glorious destiny of his house. Inevitably this have led into conflict. At first conflict
happened with already enraged Torquens. Ebbert insisted on personal oath of loyalty from Sever Torquen and was refused. Both
request and refusal were equaly stupid for neither regent needed personal oath of loyalty from a nobleman to order him to
do his bidding nor was refusal to do any good to Torquens for they were effectively independent until ellection of the new
king. Ebbert however reacted by dispaching his Nyrondese soldiers to deal with rebelious duke (duty reserved for Compannion
Guard). First battle was fought near Winnetha where both sides suffered heavy cassualties but Nyrondisean have been forced
to turn back and so it was thought victory for Torquenn. Soon, two groups were formed. Torquen have got support of Darmen
and several minor families. Wheras regent was not completly able to count even on his relatives Rax nobles who have followed
Cranden examle and declared neutrality, but differently from Crandens thay played extensively in politics weekening both regent
and his adversaries. Practicaly, only ally left to Ebbert was house Garsareth and his own Nyrondese army wich could not have
been moved from north in fear of barbarian invasion. Garasteth were old enemies of Torquen but that was only thing holding
them together because in early spring when Darmen have stricken, no help came for besieged baron of Mentrey from his Garasteth
cousins and that city fell to the rebels. Garasteth power over southern province was crippled. Companion Guard decided not
to fight and so regent was brought to quite dire situation and forced toi send his son into safety of Rel Mord when finaly
coach from cathold arrived carriing Heimer Tosser, new Pholtuses patriarch. He along with other two patriarchs and several
Cranden mages invites all nobleman to seccond Council of Rel Deven to elect new overking. Nobles assembled but this time things
have run out of control of imperial sages and patrirarchs. Long and disgusting bargaining with power and titles begune. For
two months various nobleman were engaged in endless discussions on who should be king. First there was almost
general consensus on excluding Ebbert and his son from bid from the kingship. This done, discussion continued until finaly,
in late July, Felix Rax one of more prominemt Rax nobleman known for his sweet tongue and beautiful face, but also for his
enormous richness succed in winning more of half elector voices. Fearing new civil war and dreading even longer negotiations
patriarchs ordered electors to vote and so Rax nobleman was crowned as king, Felix I Rax-Nyrond, in Rauxes, in August this
year. Great kingdom enters it's byzantine stage.
139 CY Felix Rax was not a great king, he was succesfull
politican and shrewd merchant but lacked something of greatness that even mos inept Crandens have had in common. His first
decision was not to send help to Fyrondy wich was still atacked by Ketites and to order Velverdyva army to "..fight if they
find that as most oportune..". He was not interested in those far of lands that have brought him little if any taxes. He distrusted
Rel Deven and supperted secretly with money and influence several mages especialy those in Rel Astra and Rauxes. Through his
reign he was constantly in odds with his nobleman, especialy with his cousines in Rel Mord who have, even after their oath
of loyalty to the king still thought themselves appointed rullers of the empire. He played economic and political game of
influence in order to prevent any of noble man to grow powerfull and was partialy succesfull except for the fact that by doing
this he ceased to spend on public works, and so more and more money finished in nobleman's hands and in great valut of Rauxes
and less and less things were built. Above all things Felix Rax was distrustfull of the Elves. He knowed that Estrandir the
Fair have fought on Ebbert's side in short war and thought that all elves support Rel Mord in claim for rullership. From his
side, Estrandir, though he never had particular likness for Ebbert, thought his son rightfull heir to empire and even though
he sweared loyalty to Felix, was never impressed with witty merchant who was sitting on the throne. He spent less and less
time at his position of king's adviser and often roamed the land speaking with elven folk that still was roaming Aerdi and
looking through cities and villages for interesting people, artists and those who neaded help.
142 CY
Number of Elves in land have steadily declined as king offered them less and less hospitality, but still there was traffic
between forest and the city. Estrandir was not much seen in Rauxes.
146 CY In this year Felix announced second
of his four sons as his succesor. Promptly, young prince was found dead in his bedroom, apperently strangled by his mistress
who was under magical influence. Rel Deven mages investigated but were not able to find mage who have charmed the girl. All
three remaining princes were investigated in chamber of essence but neither of them have had any connection with murder ar
at least so appeared to patriarchs.
147 CY Oldest son of king was assaulted in street
and killed with poisonous dagger. Two remaining sons retreated to virtual house arrest in Rauxes.
149 CY Last viceroy from Deiseer family to dies in
battle against Ketites, after his death raiders get deep into Veluna and become threat to all parts of the Fyrondy. No appointment
cames from Rauxes so nobles of Fyrondy elect Vergard I Thrawren as their new viceroy.
150 CY Felix Rax Dies of heart attack in his fourty
sevent year. Older of two remaining brothers refuses crown and was granted, by his own reques title of lord warden of northern
frontier and left for Wintershiven to fight barbarians. Jaan Rax - Nyrond was crowned king this year. In history of Aerdi
he will be known as Jaan the Black king and also Leech king of Rauxes for his lacked father's shrewdness but was greedy and
lustfull and was most evil of all Rax rullers. He started his reign by increasing taxes to the level on wich it was almost
impossible for peasant to meet all his obligations and still pay all taxes. Many have been sold into slavery and taken to
kings land in Alhisia to work until death. Number of Elves in the land reduces significantly. Devver Foyrich of Rel Astra
was appointed court mage.
153 CY Magical duel happens as Helimen Cranden refuses
Devver Foyrich right to enter Rel Deven inspite of kings command. Rummor goes that archmage have said to Foyrich: "With no
king slayers will we deal nor with their apprentices" but no official charge was made and Foyrich returns to Rauxes.
155 CY Attir Aedorich's discovery of the Sinking Isle
in Nyr Dyv. Helimen Cranden himself wents there and emerges several weeks later pale and exhausted. Speaking to nobody he
lefts for Rel Deven. It is said that shadowy figure was seen entering citadel of lord major and getting out again on longest
night of the year and some would say that shadow belonged to Estrandir the Singer, old friend to Crandens.
157 CY Peasant life becomes next to unberable as king
brings forth his appendix to lex Aerdy wich gave new and bigger rights to nobleman over their serfs. Finaly rebelion begune
when some particulary debacherous noble of house Garsareth was killed in Gull Clifs while he was going to Rauxes from Ountsy.
Soon force of about five hundred peasants attack and burn to the ground another noble's estate on northern bank of Imeda river.
In his response, overking sends Elite Legion to make collective revenge on all peasants of Imeda valley. Aproximately two
thousand people were sloughtered in this pointless expedition and even houses of Darmen and Torquen demanded explanation from
the king of this barbarous act. Response was house arrest for all prominent members of those houses that have happened in
Rauxes. For a time rebels were peacefull.
158 CY Rax Noble estate north of Mentrey was burned
to the ground by most probably same mob from north, showing that they were quick enough to escape before slaughter. Only survivor,
boy of fourteen was sent to Mentrey carrying head of his father placed uppon leather whip that he was using on his serfs.
In approximately same time, large group of Frost Barbarians lend from their longship near Kaport Bay and pillage all the way
to the walls of Eastfair. King was forced to send Elite army to deal with barbarians and so was unable to make another slaughter
in Mentrey area. However he sents Companion Guard to deal with rebels. Companion Gard follow trail to Lone Heath but was bogged
in swamps and moors of that area unable to track rebels. News come to Rauxes about armies on the move in north. he sends Devver
Foyrich to investigate, Foyrich's Chariot was stopped on the road seventy miles from Rauxes by revolting peasants. He tryed
to force his way through crowd by use of magic but have found out that another wizard is opposing him. His spells were met
with subtle counter spells and encouraged and frightened mob have torned his chariot to pieces and his head was sent to Rauxes.
many have later witnesed that they have seen pale face of Helimen Cranden that day but nobody was sure. King dispaches another
squadron of elite legion to Rel Deven to bring archmage to investigation to Chamber of Essence. He dees not refuse but pleads
on his illnes and asks soldiers to wait for spring when he will be able to travel. King accepts because that was (as he thought)
way to place Rel Deven under his control. Several detachments of Rauxes Army were sent to "guard archmage" but effectively
to start enforcing kings will in oldest city. Remarkably small ammount of resistance was shown by apparently surrendering
citizens. In late winter, heavy snow makes any communications hard. Suddenly, two figures appear at kings gate in Rauxes.
Those were messengers from Kelerb Rax, king's older brother and were informing king that complete northern army with reinforcments
from Nyrond is on one day march from the city. To those people snow war was part of the usual experience. Kings army was weakned
by absence of most of it's detachments including Companion Guard wich was still hounting rebels in frozen Lone Heat and also
by their unabillity to fight in snowy weather. One of the messangers was Elf, Estrandir. He informed king that his brother
now have proofs for his treachery and that he with help of Foyrich was slayer of his father and brothers and that thay will
demand investigation and trial in Chamber in Essence and that if king does not allow it their army will besiege Rauxes and
declare war to the king. King was willing to risk and he ordered Estrandir arrested, but at that momment news commed that
kings soldiers in Rel Deven were out of game and that archmage and his apprentices are riding towards Rauxes. Unwilling to
risk confrontation with most powerfull mage of empire while his soldiers are busy doing the battle with northerners king sent
for elf in his dungeon and asked him for his terms. Estrandir in name of Kelerb offered king personal safety for him, his
wife and baby son and security for as long as they stay in house arrest in their home fief in Mentrey. Surrounded by
enemies Jaan accepts and in in late winter abdicates in favour of his brother and goes to Mentrey to house arrest.
159 CY Kelerb becomes high king of Aerdi. He was broken
man. His brother have intimidated him in leaving court and life of easines that he was used to and sent him to furtherest
north to most unhospitable part of the empire. There Kelerb never accomodated on his new subjects and on harsh weather and
hardness of life to all him included. However, with time he started to like frozen Yol and tower of Wintershiven in winter.
He was quite content never again to see many towered Rauxes and to spend his life as guardian of the frontier. However, then
Elf came, with orders from archmage, that Kelreb was to be king. Still afraid of his brother's poison, prince was unwilling
to try, but Elf was adamant - archmage have discovered reason for wich empire must stand strong and empire will not be strong
if Jaan remains on the throne. Elf went so far as to threaten prince with archmage's wraith if he does not go south with army.
Through all of campaign Kelreb was frightened and he started to have intense hatered of Estrandir, not only because he forced
hi out of his northern shelter but because ho recognized in Elf all that he never had and desired - beauty, elegance, courage
and immortality. So when he got back to the throne Helimen was awarded with tilte of "high court mage" but no tilte was reserved
for Estrandir. He was expelled from Rauxes and prosecution of Elves in Aerdi continued.
160 CY King removes peasant oppresing laws and virtualy
abbolishes rebels of Lone Heath for he recalls Companion Guard back to Rauxes.
162 Finaly, with help of Velverdyva army, Fyrondy
succeds in ending Ketite invasions in Veluna. This war will be remembered as first succesfull employing of Feudal army based
on heavy cavalry and also as one in wich no help from great kingdom have come.
163 CY King orders great building of Wintershivenn.
One of last great city buildings of Aerdi came from slow and disresolute king who was still afraid of his own shadow. However,
valut of Rauxes, enlarged multifolds by high taxes of Jaan the Black was almopst emptied in buiding northern border town with
it's double bridge over Yol and enormously big temple of Pholtus (religion that king was adherent to).
166 CY Barbarian raids have finaly putted to an end
by naval victory north of Loftwood.
168 CY Group of Elven travelers was stoned in spring
of this year near Eastfair by mob led by Hextor's priest who accused them of wichcraft wich have led to rise of small pox
in the area. Three elves were killed in attack (enormous loss for immortal beings) and Elves retreat from all parts of great
kingdom except those arround Rel Astra and small enclave near Chathold and Rel Deven.
169 CY Hextor's priest that have led stoning of the
elves was found dead on altair of his god. With single arrow from his eye.
172 CY Kelreb Rax abdicates in favour of his son Fergard,
and returns to Wintershiven. He will be slain early next year in unsuccesfull attempt to overtake southern Tenth from Flanae
tribesmen.
173 CY Fergard orders slaughter of his uncle and cousin,
still in house arrest in Mentrey, against promise given by Estrandir and his father. Estrandir returns from his wanderigs
to plea for their lives in front of the king but is arrested and inprisoned for sloughter of the priest and desacfification
of the temple. In that way Great Kingdom have repayed for little less then a century of loyal service to the Elf who have
put his human friends before his elven relatives. Jaan was slain but his son succeds in fleing Mentrey and as reports say
even from Great kingdom itself.
174 CY Estrandir escapes from unescapable dungeons
of Rauxes. Some connect this with already aging archmage Helimen. No more was he heard for in Great Kingdom anmd stories say
that noble elf went to Celene or even to lost cities of the north in order to forget his grief. After this year, no more oppen
trafic existed between City of Eternal Dawn and Rauxes.
179 CY Fergard blinds his fourteen year old son
Terweld so that he is unable to become threat to him. Cranden mages insist on increasing of in size of northern army in spite
of relative peace with barbarians.
180 CY Dies Helimen Cranden. As his legacy he lives
golden calendar of days found on sinking island and his own diary in which he explained to his succesor terror that might
happend to Flanaes if ever again Vecnian cult is resurected. He gave instructions and directions that have directed Cranden
fight against Vecna's cultists for the generation's to come.
183 CY Fergard Rax, overking of Aerdy chelenges now
old Vergard Thrawren as unlawfull viceroy of Fyrondy. that was unwise deed for old man was ready to resign and to give sceptre
so Rauxes can deploy it as it sees fit. For Fyrondians, old man was their war hero, symbol of their dominance over Ketites.
He was friend of Velverdyva army and one of best rulers that veluna ever had. Fergard however disgracefuly takes silver sceptre
away from him and gives it to non competent nobleman Greewel Thorrich who will hold it for few years only.
185 CY Ket riders again attack Fyrondy, nobles do
not raise to help appointed viceroy. Velverdyva army goes to var practicaly alone except for some Velunian volontiers.
186 CY Faced with possibility of losing Veluna
and complete eastern Fyrondy, overking offers Velunian nobles choice of their Viceroy in return for their dual oath of loyalty.

beats Ketites and drives them back to their land.
192 CY Great shizm within Pholtuses church starts
as high priest of Wintershiven was ellected patriarch with thin majority of high priest votes. Powerfull churches of Chathold
and Rauxes refuse to legitimate appointment because they find Wintershiwen way of worshiping too close mindeed and wariorlike
- as it is suited to barbarous and unhospitable northern areas. High priest of Chathold proclames new revalation of laws and
changes way of ellecting patriarch. Mistrust appears between northern and suthern breathen. High priest of Rauxes was ellected
patriarch instead.
194 CY Terwell Rax escapes from house arrest in Rauxes.
He even though still blind succeds in fleing to Rel Mord to his Nyrond cousins. Duke Gervern of Rel Mord gives hideout for
a young man hoping that he will be able to rule through blind man as his puppet.

199 CY Dies Fergard Rax. His son Terwell takes crown
as Terwell the Blind. soon he disposes of Duke of Rel Deven and rules quite succesfully leaning primarily on Rewel Cranden,
duke of Rel Deven and his Court Wizard.

203 CY Terwell is giving viceroy's sceptre forever
into hands of Thrawren family for their exceptional valour shown in battle agains Ketites.
205 CY Blind king takes for his wife Ellen Nyrond,
his first cousin. Practice of inbreeding in Rax-Nyrond family begines.
209 CY Terwell Rax dies of some blood disease. His
wife beecomes regent for her four year old twin sons.
213 CY Age of Great Sorrow begines as most terrible
plague strikes Flanaes. Probably brought from Armedio jungle by some Keolandish explorers. Plague strikes first southern Veluna
and then spreads through Great kingdom killing every forth person on it's path. Clerics of Pholtus limmit their help to those
cities in which population was majorly Pholitic in beliefs. Masive migrations towards Wintershiven begun.
216 CY Patriarch of Hextor attacks she-regent of Aerdi
for adultery and unnatural relationship with her brother, Duke Hevard od Rel Mord. She succeds in avoiding trial in Chamber
of Essence.
217 CY Nobles of Rauxes helped with Companion Guard
engage in night of blood in Rauxes. Every one who had or was in any relationship with person having a plague was slain and
his body burned. Great fires lit most of poorer parts of the city. More then ten thousand have been slain in this night alone.
Rauxes is declared free from plague and entry to city was forbidden.
219 Rel Astra is stricken with the plague terribly.
In this year over seven thousands (more then third) inhabitants die. Garsteth noble was replaced with Censor of Pholtus as
efffective ruller of the city in return for help in stopping disease.
222 CY Isteer Nyrond, regent of Aerdi was killed by
poisonous needle brought to her bed by one of her lovers. Many said that her sons were behind this act but no one wanted to
investigate death that have happened under so embarrassing circumstances. However, duke Hevard of Rel Mord, brother and occasional
lover to Isteer will remain extensively rebelious towards rule of his nephews and they will have to keep most of army and
Companion Guard ready on Nyronds border to intervene against duke if need be.
223 CY Dellween and Frether Rax Nyrond are crowened
as joined ruller of Aerdi. This twins, raised by lustfull mother in city of death and slaughter will be remebered as mad kings
of Aerdi and their reign will mark begining of the fall of great kingdom.
224 CY Plague on the east ceases as rate of death
drops significantly in this year. 11 years it raged acress the Flanaes and for following century will continue to take it's
tool in human lives.
226 CY Provoked by some raid of northern province,
brother kings declare war on barbarians in the north. Navy and army of great kingdom are once more sent to conquest.
Cruelty of north army led by Hextorites and ordered by mad twin kings will be remembered by Barbarians for generations.
227 CY Another insane order of Twin kings happends
as they decide to accept custom of kings from legendary times of great Suel Empire. They decide not to marry but to gather
most of doughters of noble houses and other attractive maidens from the empire and create harem for themselves. "Bride tribute"
is established.
228 CY Fyrondy declines to pay "bride tribute" as
doughter of Vergard III is supposed to be sent to Rauxes. Kings order Velverdyva Army to besige Dyvers and to take girl.
229 CY Thrommel, son of Vergard III flies Dyvers with
his sister. Kings declare end of viceroyalty and appoint themselves rullers of Aerdi and Fyrondy. In same year northern army
finaly gain futhold in Barbarian lands. Twin kings declare province of Ratik in newly conquered provinces.
230 CY Thrommel is captured by one of Velverdyva units.
His sister surrenders in exchange for her brother life. She is taken to Rauxes.
232 CY Thormell returns
to Dyvers to muster the army for the hopeless march on Rauxes to release his sister. He is attacked by Velverdyva army and
succeds in throwing them back to borders of Perenland.
234 CY Thormell starts campaign with conquest of Admundford.
He tries to build navy to take his soldiers to Nyrond.
238 CY Navy of Nyr Dyv attacks Admundford suddenly
and destroy most of ships that Thormell was making. In same year Fyona Thrawren, sister to Thormel dies in Rauxes of mistreatment.
Not first and not last of noble-born maidens killed by insane twin rullers on Malachite Thron.
240 CY Duke of Rel Mord declares that he will not
participate in war with Fyrondy except if attacked. This creates stallmate with both opponents being unable to attack each
other. Thormell woves eternal hatered for Rauxes.
243 CY Velverdyva army gets insane order that they
alone are supposed to reconquer Fyrondy. Ten year war begines.
244 CY Thrommel declares that this war is final war
for independance of Western Kingdom. He declares end of all loyalties, not only to twin kings but to Malachite throne itself.
Small ammount of loyalistic nobles change sides and join Velverdyva army.
246 CY Velverdyva Army reconquers northern Veluna
and Fyrondy all way to Velverdyva river.
249 CY Uneasy peace is made between twin kings and
barbarians after great battle of Djekul. Southern barbarians were forced to yield to Aerdi and to send numerous hostages.
King awards Ratik protector with Baron's title.
250 CY Velverdyva army breaks nearly all way to Dyvers.
Kings however decide not to send them help by navy through Wooly Bay as that might be seen as invitation for rebelious duke
of Rel Mord to strike them. Elite army is concentrated on northern border and so Velverdyva army is unable to lay succesfull
siege to Dyvers. In winter they start toretreat towards Verbobonc.
251 CY Rebelion in Verbobonc, forces forces of kings
to move further north. March in winter conditions and Verbobonc and Fyrondian partisan units decimate army wich finaly finds
shelter but not food in Mitrik.
252 CY In battle of Mitrik, defining battle in Fyrondian
history, Thrommel forces Velverdyva army to retreat to Perrenland.
253 CY Ten years war finishes as Demm Hervel commander
of Velverdyva army signs armstice with Fyrondy and retreats his forces to Perrenland.
254 CY Kingdom of Furyondy declared with crowning
of Thrommel I. Veluna follow in declaring independence. Whole western kingdom was lost due to insanity of two kings.
Decline and fall of the Great Kingdom starts. Kings are unable to send reconqering force to either of those regions and thus
for the first time in more then three centuries, Nyr Dyv ceases to be lake of Aerdi.
255 CY Kings send order to Demm Hervel to commit suicide.
For the first time Velverdyva army commander refuses order of his sovereign. Velverdyva army officialy ceases to be army of
Great Kingdom. They mix with Flanae clans of Perenland, helping them to improve their fighting prowes and learning from them
use of new weapon, effective against Fyrondian main weapon, heavy cavalry - the pike.
256 CY Nobles remaining loyal to Rauxes in Fyrondy
have been granted lands north of Nyr Dyv where they might to continue with their ways if they pay annual "protection" tax
to Fyrondy. They merge with remainders of shild army and create semi independent province without central gouverment called
Shield lands. Due to naval supperiority of Aerdi in Nyr Dyv, shield landers gain big port of Admundford.
260 CY Rel Deven mages announce that Great Kingdom
should prepare for new battle with long destroyed opponent - Vecna's kultists.
262 CY Both twin kings die in two days one from another.
Those two wreched creatures disloyal and monstrous towards anything were deeply conneceted one with another. They were last
firm rullers that Aerdi was going to have for before house Naelax takes over in 437. They started total degeneration of Rax
house and are considered responsible for much of decay that happened to Great Kingdom. They have named no one of their seventeen
children as heir to the thron and so internal squables over crown begine anew.
263 CY Evver Rax, son of Dellween and slave girl from
Suundi was crowned king because judged as mentaly most stable of all descendants. He will rule for exactly three months before
being slain by his body servant paid by one of other sibblings. He succeds however to abolishes "bride tribute". After him
Gedden Rax and his half sister/wife Ralea take throne and force patriarchs to crown them as joined rullers of Aerdi. They
organise giving of food and wine to people of Rauxes and thus gain great public support in capital turning Rauxes in one great
party place for several months when city treasury already damaged by wars that twin king waged run completly broke and Gedden
starts impossing enormous taxes on those areas of kingdom that he did not carred for. many nobles simply ceased paying their
taxes. And in early winter angry mob in Rauxes kills Geden and Ralea as they were walking without guard through shady parts
of city as they used to.
264 CY Elite army cries Hanmelen Rax for king. Only
reason why Patriarchs have kept crowning this inept and more then half mad kings was to keep aperance of stability and to
keep nobles affraid of Companion Guard and thus prevent full scale civil war. Complex machinery of civil servants, birocrates
and officials was too rooted to be damaged by few idiotic kings and too self sufficient to be dependant on person sitting
on Malachite thron. In this complex organization sages of Rel Deven and patriarchs put their hopes for preventing Aerdi from
collaps. nobles start to mind their own business more then paying attention to happenings in Rauxes.
266 CY Hanmell Rax starts campaign of geting to the
southernmost land. His pitifull wanderings through Vast Swamp were more parody then reviving of great conquests from the past.
King dies of malaria and last communication with Aerdi posts in Hempomoland are lost.
267 CY Defrin Rax, one of indirect relatives to twin
kings is crowned king. Trace of sanity reappears on malachite thron. This man however was defetist. He was sure that Aerdi
is doomed and that nothing can be done to prevent it. He however gives his best to repair most terrible of damages that have
been done to kingdom. He starts collecting reasonable taxes and regains some of respect from his nobles. He rebuild damaged
parts of Rauxes in way much less glamouros and beautiful then first build due to restricted funds. He abolishes most of insane
laws of his predscestors and return code of laws basicaly to Lex Aerdi. He however is unable to escape court politics that
takes him most of his time.
268 CY Defrin receives delegation from easternmost
city of empire - Greyhawk that pleads him for status of free city so that they might conduct trade with both Fyrondy and Aerdi.
Wheras any other king would probably refused Defrin grants them charter in exchange for symbolic annual tax.
270 CY Defrin takes Flewer Cranden as his royal archmage.
272 CY Padin the Vain uses the Hand of Vecna, to start
the Insurrection of the Yaheetes, a Flanae enclave in the North Province. The Malachite Throne destroys them to
a person. First of predictions of Helimen Cranden fulfills. Hand itself was captured and locked in valuts of Rel Deven.
277 CY Death of Flewer Cranden. During election
of his succesor magical fire and attack on citadel itself begunes. Misterious mages attack place of most powerfull magic on
Oerth. In chaos and confusion that have followed someone succeds in braking, for the first and the last time in recorded history,
in valut of Crandens. Several old and magical items were stolen including Hand of Vecna and Golden Calendar. Ur-Flanae have
stricken bitterly at Crandens. However that had it's price. Eleven of twelve most powerful Vecnian mystics lied dead. Altrough
Crandens were beaten victory for cultists was more expensive then they expected.Young Belver Cranden becomes archmage, he
himself responsible for slaying of three of warlocks.
281 CY Death of Defrin Rax. His nephews Haverl and
Remin contend for kingship. For the first time patriarchs are seriously divided and while that of Hextor supports Remin who
promises new expansion of Aerdi with money and influence that was created by Defrin, churches of Pholtus and Zilchus along
with majority of Darmen nobility are for Haverl called "the fat" who was loud speaker of those who wanted peace and trade
at any cost for the empire. Problems increase even more as Wintershiven part of Pholtus worshipers decide to join Remin's
side making shizm between them and southern church even deeper.
282 CY Starts third war of assasins along with great
division and might mongering by both princes. For the first time, lower rank noble family of Naelax appears on the scene because
Sterwen Naelax is elected patriarch of Hextor in this year. He supports Remin quite violently, even with emloying "Red Arrows"
to fight some supporters of Haverl. With help of new patriarch Remin gains prestige which efectively grants him title
of Lord Protector of the throne. However, lack of concensus of the patriarchs made his claim for kingship immpossible for
some time.
283 CY After he have avoided, despite his great bulk
and appearent lazyness, several assasination attemps by his cousin, Haverl Rax goes to counter offansive. He remains in Rel
Astra near his family estate but sends message to Rel Mord, promising his distant relative reunion of the families and even
more, title of Altmeister of all Aerdi for his support. This title was connected with early days of kingdom (before empire)
and officialy ment Master of State. Duty of such man was to be king's right hand man and first person of the kingdom
after king himself. Never before though was position of Altmeister inheritable and that was exactly what Haverl promised to
Lev Nyrond if he happened to be crowned king. He gained Lev's support and his doughter's hand in winter of this year.
284 CY Fat prince then turned to dukes of Rel
Deven promising them inheritable position of court archmage and more importantly, full freedom of actions concerning Ur-Flanae
and also exclusive right to aproach Caludron of Night. He flatly won their support and on council of this year was ellected
Lord protector.
285 CY Hextorites remained to be won over and that
was major problem for Haverl. To actualy won opposing priesthood he decided that he will buy support from those who are holding
leading positions and in this case those were princes of Naelax. On secret meeting with Sterwen he promised that house
Naelax would be elevated to level of high nobility and that Sterwen's son Remwel will even be made duke of Eastfair, establishing
thus sixth dukedom within Aerdi. Before question was put in front of grand council of Hextorite church wich would definiely
reject it patriarchs gathered in Rauxes and crowned Haverl "the fat" Rax-Nyrond king of Aerdi. His main policy during relatively
long reign was to let anybody who have any kind of power to do what he wanted and to force peasants to pay taxes that were
just high enough to fill the coffers of the king and various nobles and in the same time low enough that peasant survival
was not brought to question. His main policy was that of inactivity and that is probably reason why second uprising of Vecnian
kult was much more serious matter then first one.
287 CY King arrests and later executes his cousin
Ramin for high treason. To majority of his followers bribes are offered to change sides. Those stupid enough to refuse were
slowly exterminated by kinfs regular forces and army of sycopfants who found this a best way to advance on the court.
289 CY Ur-Flanae mystic with name of Vecna II appears
and Crandens try to hunt him down. For the time they succed in driving him underground but largely they have been left on
they own by indolent king and they lacked even magical might of ancient times for no more then five of them in that time have
gained title of magus - wich meant that they were capable of casting magic of third and higher level.
290 CY "Vecna II" Builds rises in the
Bone March Area and builds Tyrus. He rules for 100 years with the aid of the Eye and hand of Vecna and with support
of numerous Barbarians and humanoids. This oppens one of longest conflicts that Aerdi will be puted into. House of Cranden
will make it's primal objective to destroy this meanace and for next hundred years conflict will reign northern and eastern
Aerdi.
294 CY Cranden mages restart experimenting with stuff
of Caludron of Night so they can use it against Vecnians.
297 CY Two young mages are slain by strong force of
some seven houndred corpses risen within Bone March. Belver Cranden requires from king decesive military action against Vecnians
but is rejected.
299 CY Belver Cranden goes alone to Tyrus. He was
captured but his identity was not revailed and he flies but not before he aquire vast ammount of information about Vecna's
plans and armies.
301 CY Belver Crandens leaves Rel Deven again and
embakrs on travels that will lead him to old Flanae city of Hardby, to Niole Dra in Keoland and even after all to city of
Eternal Dawn in Granwood.
303 CY Vecna II strikes. His army conquers north province
all the way to Eastfair. And lie siege to this old city. Nyrond promises help and host of Nyrond goes east but is stopped
in Flinty hills where medium and heavy cavalry of Nyrondese were less mobile then light horses and barbarian footmen. From
Rakers another army sweeps south decimating Nyrond's force and forcing them all the way to Womtham. They move south towards
Rel Deven but presence of Elite Army along with numerous Cranden mercenaries make them change their mind about besieging oldest
city of the empire. They pillage Inspaa.
304 CY King refuses to send help to Eastfair, being
both terrified by rapports of Vecnian army and by talks of their bestiality. Rumors state that he even have sent secret envoy
to Tyrus to negotiate making peace by which he would give comlete North province to Vecna in exchange for peace. Only fact
that Vecna did not allow this messanger to return alive was reason that this treachary did not happened.
305 CY One of generals of Elite Army, Hiveer Szefrin
leads about 2.000 man north to Help besieged Eastfair. He accepts battle with barbarians and almost repeats military genius
of golden days of empire for he defeats about five times larger army, forcing them to retreat to about hundred miles north
of the city. He was awarded title of hero by patriarch of Hextor after coming to Eastfair and later was appointed supreme
general of Elite army, with sole order to destroy Vecnites.
307 CY Starts northern war, as Szefrin embarks
on war of destruction of Vecnites.
309 CY Haverl the "fat king" dies of heart attack.
His doughter Velene remains his single child. Lev Nyrond indicates, as Altmaister that it would be prescendent for woman to
be crowned "over king" and he proposes his son Archbold as closest relative to succed Haverl. Always at odds with Nyrond,
Naelax nobles from North Province object to that and so does patriarch of Hextor. There were no other close relatives and
so malachite thron remains unocupied for time. Nobles on the south started to cease sending food and levy to Vecnian war and
Szefrin have had hard time defending Eastfair. Velene is taken to Kalsstrand to be kept "safe", by patriarch of Zilchus.
312 CY Lev Nyrond promises his help to besieged Naelax
in return for his claim of kingship for his son. House Naelax divides on this issue but hard line of Hextorites declines
offer especialy after Szeffrin succeds in defeating ur-Flanae and sends them to about hundred miles north of the Eastfair.
Velene flies from her Eastfair inprisonment and as later records show meet with Belver Cranden
313 CY Old and senile Eltemer Rax, uncle of Haverl,
was elected by priests and nobleman to be king of Aerdi. His powers were severly limited and effectively Patriarchs were running
kingdom for him. Szefrin was given almost unprescendent independence in matters concerning war.
314 CY Lev Nyrond tries to establish his authority
in northern lands by sending his troops to conquer Inspaa. He however, meets one of three detachments of Szefrin's army. Tragicaly
for Nyrondese army, Iron General was in Inspaa. He organises defence, caring not that attackers are Nyrondese knights and
not Vecna's barbarians. He routes them but from Rauxes comes no order to march on Rel Mord. General declares war with Nyrond.
315 CY From one barbarian tribe Archmage gets information
that leads him to forgotten underground fortress under Griff mountains. He and Velene Rax and also theri dwarven friend Bewarg
go there and emerge month later with several artifacts from long ago, most imporant of which was certain sword of grey glass
- "Sword of Kas"
316 CY Archmage and the girl return to Rel Deven,
Belver starts investigation of old papers he have found in Kas's citadel. But he feels that his powers are failing him. He
returns his archmage staff to council and so becomes first archmage who have left the position willingly. He and his beloved
girl leave for city of eternal dawn.
318 CY Grand master of Enchantment - Kelwer Cranden
also known as "the Sword Forger" becomes archmage of the Rel Deven. He continues research of his teacher hoping to find way
to destroy Vecnites for good.
325 CY Without further attack from damaged Nyrond,
Szefrin succeds in forcing Vecnites into Bone march. Terrain and great concentration of enemy troops, and also low supplies
of food and fresh soldiers from Rauxes, force him to abandon planned siege of Tyrus and so he returns to Eastfair, city
which has become base of Elite Army. Watchfull peace has begune.
327 CY Dies ancient Eltemer Rax, for last ten years
on throne he was not fully in controll of his facilities and so virtualy all noble houses have declared various semi independences.
However it was Nyrond which have gon furtherest. Lev of Rel Mord have not even found appropriate to act the form and so he
created his own army and, even more importantly, the navy so he can eventualy enter new civil war prepeard and win crown for
Archbold, his son.
330 CY First skirmish between Revel Torquan, admiral
of Imperial navy and Nyrondese fleet happends in this year. All noble houses prepear for civil war and no one have strenght
to offer their candidate foir thr thron for there were no close relatives to kings.
331 CY Church of Hextor through their general Szefrin
establishes military authority in North. They declare universal peace and say that they will unilateraly attack anybody who
breaks it. That does not prevent but postpone civil war as all noble houses prepare for war but no one decides to strike.
Bejin Rax, unimportant figure from lower ranks of the house was positioned on the thron, just the figurhead. Nobles that have
positioned him force him to sign treaty which allow all high noble families to create family armies. Even good part of Elite
army becomes divided between noble houses.
335 CY Kalven Thane, son of inpoverished nobleman
enters service of Rel Deven in this years of constant turmoil and mercenary gathering. Besides the fact that firm friendship
was created between him and the Archmage, this young man prooves as succesfull military leader as he helps defeating large
war band of orcs north east of Chathold. Those creatures have started appearing more and more in great kingdom, obviously
attemptimg to join forces with Vecnites in Tyrus.
337 CY Kalven becomes first in command of Cranden
forces.
339 CY Crandens and mixed nobles of south province
make deal to create army powerfull enough to protect west from Nyrond and Vecnites. They find way in long unused Glorioles
Army. Once, elite fore of overkings in Cranden times, Glorioles army have become retirement club for old officers. It have
not engaged in military conflict for more then a century but still have regained regalia of elite unit. Crandens succed to
replace aging commander of that army, one Dewrin Kapert, with Kalven Thane and start reorganising that army as fully independent
fighting unit. In mean time, Northern part of Elite army unites with army of the north to form enormously large Northern Army
under command of Szeffrin.
340 CY From it's side Nyrond does not remain calm.
Lev creates large army but even to him it is clear now that his dreams of easy victory will not come true.
342 CY Portillan Rax, Bejin's son becomes overking
following his father abdication. Young man, was supported strongly by Hextor's church and strongly reconed on support of Szeffrin's
forces in his attempt to reestablish his dominion over Aerdi.
345 CY Quite sure in peace with Vecnites, king orders
"..an end to open rebelion of Nyrond..by whatever means posible. Interesanting is how much support he have got from
both nobleman and patriarchs who all urged for reestablishment of security. Lev Nyrond renews his claims for malachite
throne and starts civil war.
346 CY Major shizm happends between Wintershiven and
Chathold as Patriarch demands from northern breathen to help in "reestablishing order in rebelious Nyrond." problem was that
High priest was unwilling to help king who was open worshiper of Hextor, god that was considered pagan by strict clergy of
the northern border. Patriarch however have considered Hextorites as his allies an attempts to reestablish rule of law over
Aerdi. he was also enraged by lack of subordination that his nominal inferior is showing. Patriarch and high priest excommunicte
each other and thus end even apparent unity of Pholtian church,
348 CY Szefrin gains victories in few initial battles
and stop advancment of Nyrondese into Aerdi teritory. He is unwilling however to pursue them into Nyrondese theritory for
that would leave his flank undefendend from eventual Vecnian attacks.
349 CY Lev Nyrond dies. His son Archbold becomes last
duke of Rel Mord. It seems to all that civil war has ended, for young duke shows no willingness to attack.
351 CY Archbold declares independence of Nyrond from
the Great Kingdom, and declares himself Archbold I, king of Nyrond. It was unexpected but killing blow for Aerdi. Ilusion
of unbreakability of it's teritory was shattered. In same time Medegia, Sundi and Ratik all declare independence.
352 CY With decesive force Kalven and his Glorioles
army stricke Medegia and soon bring it to it's knees. Selvern Torquan, self proclamed king of Medegia and lord protector of
Rel Astra was captured and sent to Rauxes, Glorioles army turns towards Sundi. In same year dies poisoned Portillan Rax, officaly
it was declared deed of Vecnians, in reality, all have known that house Torquan paves itself path towards Malachite Thron.
Only urgency of the war and unexpected unity of other families secures thron for Galren Rax king's son, young, astmatic, half-wit
man who was no more then insurance policy for all other houses that Torquens do not take thron and that Companion Guard remains
in action.
353 CY After direct orders from Rauxes, Szefrin reluctantly
moves to attack Nyrond. He sets siege to strategicaly important city of Mithat.
354 CY Szefrin captures Mithat. In same time war on
south goes well for Glorioles army. They succed in capturing whole Sundi, even southern parts of swamp, and to pass even further
south into domains now held by Scarlet brotherhood. Only pockets of resistance remaining in the south were those arround Dwarven
city of Iron gate which was constructed in that way that was virtualy inconquerable by frontal attack and unexhaustable by
the siege.
355 CY Worst nightmares of general Szefrin come true
as in early spring of this year hordes of barbarians and orcs emerge from bone march and northern mountains. To numerous to
count. They stricke unprotected flank of his army and effectively cut it in two. Smaller part of the force himself included
was captured in Mentrey, prey for approaching army of Nyrond and larger one was surrounded and due to lack of leadership was
effectively being thorn to pieces in northwestern part of north province. Szefrin succeds in miracuolus retreat from Mentrey,
one that will definitely enter military encyclopaedias only to be faced with more then 10:1 odds versus physicaly more capble
orcs and savage Barbarians, completly separated from the majorty of his forces. In the same time something strange happends
in the south. General Kalven was attacked by powerfull and well trained army in the part of the world where there was not
supposed to be any. All reports of war in the south that were avilable have strangely been destroyed and even later writen
memoires of general Kalven burned in great fire that have destroyed Rauxes university and library. (Other copy misteriously
disappeared from Rel Astra some years later) but from those few remaining sources we can conclude that war was led against
great number of well trained savages that were comanded by white skined man. They were numerous and have attacked general
first. We can conclude that general was forced to retreat to western Sundi and that he was attacked by Dwarves there. Only
his military genius have saved him from utter defeat and he will regroup and in following year succed to reconquer Sundi and
to deal several crushing defeats to Savages. He will however be reluctant to continue following them further south from the
fear of their numbers and due to growing danger in the north. In that time ther was assumption that Savages were part of Keoland's
plan to conquer weakened Aerdi but that general's succeses have diverted them from it. Now there are other ideas some of which
are bold enough to include Scarlet Brotherhood for which we are not sure that it have even existed in that time, even less
to have such military power.
356 CY Kingdom of Nyrond established without foreign
soldiers on it's teritory. Theocracy of the Pale declares independence with center in Wintershiven. Szeffrin succeds
to break through Vecnian teritory and to reorganize remains of his army. He leaves as much troops as he was able to defend
Eastfair and retreats towards Rinloru to regroup and to meet Companion Guard which was sent from Rauxes as reinforcements
for him.
357 CY Inspa falls and Vecnites gain controll of all
land north of Harp river. Eastfair and even Delaric were under the siege. Glorioles army returns to Rel Deven.
358 CY Starts combined counter attack of Great Kingdom
forces. This military operation will be remembered as first active defansive action of Aerdi since founding of great kingdom.
For the first time they were not conquerors but conquered. Nevertheless, Kalven and Szefrin set out to prove once again
superiority of Aerdi military education over barbarians. kalven strickes first and by forcing Harp he places Barbarians and
theri Orc allies in wedge made by Tessar and Harp river, here he was able to expand fully his front without fear that much
more numerous enemy will be able to outflank him. As soon as his flanks were protected by rivers, Vecnites have lost their
main adventage and were forced to fight on 1:1 front line that was becoming more and more narrow for them as better equiped
Kalven's forces were pushing them towards rivers. Soon panic have stricken ranks of northerners and many thousands were slain
that day and many more were lost in rivers that they tried to swim over in search of escape. Great victory was gained for
great kingdom that day but still even while his loses were less then one tenth of those that he have inflicted uppon his enemy
it was too costy for Kalven for he was still to far from enemy mainland and he knowed that no reinforcements will come.
In the same time, Szefrin was pushing towards Delaric. Vecnites, after heraing about great slaughter in the west were not
willing to wait for him, reinforced by all detachments of notorious Guard Companion. They have started retreat towards Eastfair.
At one momment Companion Guard alone, under comand of Gehed Turwel, leaves main body of Szefrin's force and attack rear
of retreating enemy due to their greater movement. Afraid that they have been attacked by complet Szefrin's army Vecnites
turn their retreat into panic and Companion Guardists slay many of them as they flee towards Eastfair. In Eastfair, Patriarch
of Hextor and red Arrows along with those detachments of north army which were left were able to defend the city's strong
walls but city was near the starvation. Already, caniblism was employed in poorer parts of the city and even Patriarch was
treated with meals of rats an dogs. When Szefrin's army was closing near, exhausted red arrows have oppened city gates and
made heroic charge out of the city, trapping and destroying another substantial part of Vecnite army. Faced with defeat of
their offensive, Vecnite commanders decided to fortify in conquered cities of Inspaa and Bellport, hoping that prolonged siege
of those cities will give them time to regroup and bring reinforcments from north. Knowing that siege will shatter his forces
which were designed for field battle but still reluctant to give break to enemy, Kalven attacks Inspaa. Here he would probably
bog down for Inspaa have had well fortified walls that were well repaired by Vecnian army. His salvation came in form of nine
riders from Rel Deven. For the first time grand masters of the magic schools were riding into open battle. With fire and thunder,
they have brocken walls of the Inspaa and Kalven's forces entered the city, slaughtering orcs and barbarians. Even then, Kalven
was still not satisfied by succes of his forces. He wanted to be in Tyrus before the end of the year. Through first snow he
forced his troops north and despite casualties due to winter conditions he have got to Knurl before new year. Barbarians did
not expected winter march of their adversaries whome they considered southern weeklings, and in battle of falling snow they
were cought by surprise and decimated severely. All hopes for reinforcements for Vecna now were shattered for news of Inspaa
and Knurl slaughter traveled fast and no longer tribes were willing to join what was obviously losing side. Faced with the
fact that they will have to fight in their land Vecnites leave Bellport and Szefrin comes and conquers it in winter 358-359.
359 CY Winter, Aerdi forces have spent in Knurl and
Bellport and as soon as melting of ice in Grendep bay allowed, Tervel Aras, Baron, high admiral of all Aerdi and commander
of Eastern fleet of great kingdom have come in force and attacked not only Johnsport which he soon conquered but also conquered
most roads that were supply lines for Vecnites. He stoped short of reconquering Ratik for there was ferocious resistance among
native population and Admiral lacked enough land-fighting troups. Szefrin was first to enter Bonemarch. At this point he already
expected easy victory but even then his military precausion was enough to warn him against not defending flanks. It was wise
precausion for after the first day of march through seemingly undefended land he was attacked from the flank by huge force
of humanoids followed by barbarian charge. Whole flank protection unit, about 2500 men in medium armour were slaughtered in
that assault and it can be thanked only to their discipline and self sacrifice that whole of Szefrin' army was not crushed
that day. Heavy, Companion Guard, cavalry was lessened in efficience at hilly landscape of the march and so it was infantry
that suffered major assault that night. Wave uppon wave of humanoids and barbarians attacked Szefrin's army which was unable
to take any position except defansive one with their shields and spears infront of their persons. Whole detachments were decimated
and whole casualties for Szefrin's army for that dreadfull day were estimated to be about 5000 man, almost a quarter of his
whole force. Enemy casualties were too numerous to count. "Blind to enemy weapon, and in some kind of religious trance..",
as one of Szefrin's officers will record later, and also lightly armoured,"..barbarians attacked and died and attacked and
died until whole field was looking like great slaughter house full of human and orc meet. With first sunlight, when piles
of corpses were starting to stench, barbarians ceased their assaults for no more help was available from their orcish allies.
Simmilar, altrough less extensive attack happened to Szefrin night after and then he was reassured that reconquering bone
march will be much more demanding affair then what he thouhgt. This time he was more prepaired and he repulsed several barbarian
attack with his combined crossbow fire and charges of light cavalry. He succeded to reduce his casualties to about 400 men
by night while he was inflicting at least five times as much uppon enemy. And still it seamed like losing battle. When he
finaly reached Tyrus, he was left with about 12,000 men, all of them tired of continuous marching and fighting and against
him there were about 30.000 fresh Barbarians and more then 15.000 orcs. Szefrin knowed that he can not hold the siege but
Vecna was not willing to prolong it anyhow. City gates oppened and army of the barbarians rushed through. It was not pure
charge as were those of previous nights. It was well planed military operation and for it Vecna reserved it's elite troups.
First there come orcish wolf-riders armoured and disciplined, then barbarian beerserkers wielding two axes each and screaming
at enemy. Beside them were lines of regular infantry with their beastlike banners and mystic commanders. And in the middle
of the host rided Vecna himself, in flame chariot with hand and eye that were hideous to look uppon. The Guard Companion lowered
their lances and engaged followed by rest of the army and general himself in his armour of black and gold. And so it started,
battle of Cloven Fields, after battle of Forthnight's lenght nost famous of all that history is talking about. "Death of the
General" written by famous blind bard in 428 CY tells us of that battle. It is said that Companion Guard have won in first
engagement and that they almost routed Orc wolf-riders. Only magic of ur-flanae and barbarian shamans prevented tham from
winning the day. Under layers of magical arrows and attack of second orkish ranks Guard retreated orderly to regroup. In mean
time, berserkers have unleashed their fury on the left flank of Szefrin's army and it have felt inwards so General himself
went there with his own retinue to stop them. He succeded to kill one huge, half ogre chieftain and so ease preasure that
threatened to completly devastate left flank of Aerdi army. Crosbowmen were made almost totaly unefective by strange wind
that was constantly blowing from the enemy and so one major advantage of Aerdi army was annuled. While Companion guard was,
along with what was left of medium cavalry, decimating orcs on the right flank, centre of Aerdi army was facing terror of
different kind. Surrounded with summoned fiends Vecna was riding practicaly through the army for no one was able to kill or
harm him. Again general commed to face this new peril. He met with Vecna in the middle of the battle and attacked him with
his sword, wich-slayer. For almost half an hour have general and warlock fought and fiends were destroyed, but then two mystics
came in their master's help and diverted General's attention for that crucial moment and Vecna slew him with hideous claw
summoned from netherlands. For the momment it seemed that Aerdi is defeated and Gehed Turwel, who become first
in command was on the edge of ordering retreart for already many detachments were fleeing, assured that their defeat is imminent.
Then from the south came sound of song and diamond banners of Glorioles Army appeared. And so cometh Kalven Thane, and
the army of the south and also came Kerred Cranden wielding sword of Kas and eight grand masters. As the storm they felt uppon
Vecnites crushing barbarians and orcs in their path and going to join Companion guard on the right flank. Vecna II met his
demise at hands of Kerred cranden and at sword of Kas. Unfortunately, general Kalven, probably most briliant strategist since
ancient times also fell in battle. His eye was pierced by incidental orc arrow. Never the less, it was glorious victory. Companion
Guard was destroying ranks uppon ranks of barbarians and orcs that were fleeing field. Just few hundreds barbarians made it
for the safety of Raker mountains. Of orcs, only handfull survived. It was costly victory for Aerdi as well and more then
a half of it's army was dead or wounded and Companion Guard was reduced to just 70 men, about the third of it's regular size.
Back in the kingdom there were rebelious noblemen, and king who was scared of his own shadow and whose name did not known
almost no one outside Rauxes and few noble courts through the land. It was not decision for chieftain of Gard Companion, man
without any real power, and even less for Cranden mages, to decide that they should turn west and attack Nyrond. So leaving
only sceleton guarnisons in ruins of Tyrus and Knurl Glorioles army and army of the north turned back, Only to be, due to
lack of finances, constantly reduced in power and prestige all the time until the advent of Naelax. never again will have
such an army on it's disposal. Szefrin's young son and wife were kept by Hextors priesthood as hero's family and all general's
descendants were promised superb military training by Red Arrows.
362 CY Nyrond wanted to profite on supposed Aerdi
weekness and so first Nyrondese army attack Inspaa and tried to conquer it. Defenders of the city were, however, soldiers
of Szefrin. Soon, many former soldiers from the same army remobilized even without overking's command and they, together with
the host of Eastfair went to give one bloody beating to upstart Nyrondese. In shamefuly short battle, Nyrond army which did
not expect much of the resistance retreated but soon reinforcements arrived and were placed at Nyrond border to prevent any
possible Aerdi invasion.
363 CY Scared king, Galren Rax and Archbold the first
of house Nyrond meet in Womtham in spring of this year to make treaty that will acept Nyrond's independence. Borders were
drawn and altrough Nyrond was very wiling to claim rullership over Almor, Dukes of Chathold were adamant that it is
not going to happend, and Archbold was already pressed by rebelions in Urnst and Pale to withdraw as much army as possible
from Aerdi border. Essentialy, treaty of Womtham gave to Nyrond rule over all teritory of old Duchy of Rel Mord, but contained
one interesant clause. It clause said that all countries of Pale and further north remain jurisdiction of great kingdom as
a part of the world dominion of Aerdi. This clause was complete nonsence for in that time Pale was fighting their "glorious
revolution" to break Nyrond rule and establish the Theocracy and lands north of Yol, particulary Flanae - semi civilised state
of Tenth were never part of, either Nyrond or great kingdom. This clause was writen there because Archbold knowed that Pale
is already lost for Nyrond but that great kingdom can never reach for it without going through Nyrond teritory, (against which
there were enough protection in pact and in real situation) and for the lands north of Yol, neither him nor Galren ever known
or heared. Galren, insisted on that clause for Yol and Pale for him have had that mystical sound of past conquest and imperial
glory and gave him the feeling that he was able to dictate terms of the peace. This clause will later prove as one of most
important pieces of international diplomatic agreements for it's significance in latest war. At home, altrough necsary treaty
was met with uproar. Torquen were openly speaking of false king who was selling the country to barbarians. Church of Hextor,
whose minor clergy participted in latest victory at Inspaa felt betrayed, People of Chathold felt exposed and many other nobles
felt that Nyrond might have done the right thing. Garasteth, for example, who were rulling Medegia after unsuccesful separation
were on the brink of declaring independent state of Rel Astra and only fact that strong Torquen army from the north would
fall uppon them as a way of gathering public support for the crown bid, prevented them to do so. Crandens on their part were
busy sellecting new archamge after death of "the sword forger" and were unable to give any support for the king.
366 CY Despite pleads by Pholtus and Zilchus priesthoods
Galren Rax abdicates. He returms to family fief near Edge Field to live rest of his lifew in peace. Houses were looking for
someone to stop ever more strong Torquens from quiet takeover of Aerdi. Proliferic house of Rax gave them their man in figure
of Sonned Rax, Galren's unlawfull son, brute and bully of not great wisdom from south province. He started conflict with Torquens,
as instructed by his "faitful advisors". This conflict will last for more then fifty years and will range from assasin war
to outright military conflict. It will completly ruin both houses and will make immense damage to all other and will esentialy
sound death bell for old Great Kingdom. It will not have victor for all hae lost something in it and peasants most of all.
Those who were most able to profite from it were Hextorite church and, with it closely connected, house Naelax. Even among
Hextorites were those, however, who thought that this was to low a blow and that even civil war would be more in accoed to
wishes of their god than this low affair. Those were minority.
367 CY First blow in war comes from king who orders
Companion Guard to ransack one family fief of Torquens ewhere, he thought, they keep large ammount of money. What they succed
in doing however was cutting of supplies of food for Delaric for several months by trampling over weed fields on said estate.
Soon, assasinations begune and then threats, destruction of merchantdise et cetera.
373 CY Sonned dies of poisoned wine and his son Telvan
becomes over king. This man will be last attempt in preservation of house Rax on the throne made by patriarchs. He was more
stable then his father altrough not less cruel, and he was driven by insane desire for vengance over those who killed his
father and also by almost insine paranoia which would be considered as completly mad if there was no actual need for such
thing.
375 CY Telvan Rax establishes "the Web" spy organiztion
that was suppose to controll state of matters in all of Aerdi and to do secret biddings for him. Telvan have understood that
every use of Companion Guard is lowering support that he gets from non Torquen nobles and so used them only in emergency circumstances.
382 CY Elvin Naelax, brother of patriarch of Hextor
becomes duke of Eastfair. Those two man start orginising North Province in cruel but efficient fashion. Effectively, they
create state within the state ready to follow path of Nyrond when circumstances are right. Soon they will be only sovereign
rullers in North Province and king will rely on them more and more for his struggle with rebelious Torquen.
386 CY Duke of Zelradton, Garasteth noble makes fatal
mistake in joining old enemies of his house, Torquans. Duke of Rel Astra allows for news of the trachery to reach Rauxes and
enraged king unleashes Companion Guard uppon unfortuante duke. After complete slaughter of him and his close family, king
appoints Defeen, another Naelax to rule South province. Efectively, he have made coffin for his family.
392 CY Elvin Naelax proclaims himself Altmeister of
Aerdi, and Grand prince and is crowned with silver crown (of kind that only heirs to thron wear) in Eastfair this year.
King does not react.
395 CY One meeting that will mark, if not change history
of Flanaes happends this year in Rauxes. On one of balls that crown was arranging, 17 year old Jaaran Krimeeah, distant relative
to king and 15 years old Ivid Naelax, son of Grand Prince Elvin meet. Jaaran at that time was apprentice to one of most powerfull
Rauxees mages and he had not seen much of the world outside the capital that have stil holded it's lavish splendor of the
capital. It was therefore hard for him not to be flamboyant in front of that "uncut northerner" and to put Rauxes far in front
of any city in the world, and himself (exagurating his relationship with king immensly) far ahad of his noble guest. Ivid
Naelax, at that time have not yet developed shrewdness that will become his hailmark in later years but he was able
to recognize empty boasting when he sees one. His response to mage-aprentice is antological one: "Little more then shadows
of past that has gone never to return, those aconse, told with mock and in assured tone by someone little older then a child
were strong blow to young apprentice. From that momment on, he will see all weaknesses of the great kingdom and also he will
be aware of growing influence of Naelax, and will learn to hate that noble house with passionate hatered. In time for
the first love, Jaraan have developed and nutritioned his first and most passionate hate.
397 CY Jaaran Krimeach finishes his aprenticeship
as youngest mage ever to get the staff. Not single moment of his life since that ball two years ago was spent in any activity
but his training. His briliant inteligence have made him expert on internal politics of Aerdi. He becomes one of court mages
anbd gets to know king personaly.
399 CY Jaran Krimeah, even though only 21 year old
at the time succeds in thwarting Naelax plot to take over Rauxes through controll over it's lord major. He is awarded title
of Royal Court Mage. Again youngest in history.
400 CY House Naelax attempts assasination on royal
mage. Five assasins were killed but not before they have addmited who was one who have send them.
402 CY Jaraan Teleports himself in palace of high
prince in Eastfair during important meeting of heads of house Naelax. He unleashes magical fire and slews all of present,
stricking major blow to the house. Patriarch and Prince were slain beyond help. Young Ivid becomes High Prince and head of
the Naelax. Hatered becomes mutual.
403 CY King attacks Jaraan for his destruction of
Naelax. He was even willing to put him on trial for that deed but mage produces evidence that they were conspiring against
the state. KIng relaeses him but amkes sure to destroy the evidence. Mage is now sure that king is weekling and that he will
hand kingdom to Ivid on silver plate. He starts prepairing his own coup.
407 CY Jaraan Krimeeah, black mage as he was known,
in his 29th year become youngest archmage ever. Danubis Cranden of Rel Deven proclaims him the mage of Great Kingdom. In same
year he starts his coup. For short time it seamed that he is in controll of most of Elite army and that king will have to
abdicate. He entered palace with his retinue and then detachment of Guard Companion, for whome he have thought to be in south
fighting Torquans attacked him in the hall of palace, while the rest of it was surrounding his followers outside. His plan
was discovered and prevented due to works of the Web and treachery of Jaraan's own aprentice. Mage was captured and imprisoned.
408 CY After long torture by inqisitors of Hextor
(little gift of the king to the Naelax) still living reamins of Jaraan Krimeeach were brought to trial in chamber of essence.
There he admitted his coup and told that it was done in order to prevent Naelax from taking power. When king (due to chamber's
magic) have discovered that young mage was realy speaking truth, he started finaly to be wary of Naelax. It was however imposible
for him to relaese cousin who tried to replace him, but he found, what he thought of as briliant plan. He would release Jaraan
and exile him from the Aerdi "never to return" wheras he would secretly send him summons to come back and to return to help
him fight Naelax. As some would say that was the bill without the inkeeper. Treatment by Naelax Hextorites have terribly changed
the Black One. his once beautiful face was disfigured and he was left as a ruin of a man, unable to move without mechanical
apparatus. He also started to hate his cousin, with hatered even more passionate than that for Naelax. He left Aerdi and went
into Niole Dra to try to repair his destroyed body.
412 CY This year features last appearance of Jaraan
Krimeeah within great kingdom. Telvan summoned him as he planned for he thought that it is time for him to strike at Naelax.
Archmage who have in meantime replaced apparatus for walking with shaddowstuff that have now supported his fragile and ruined
body answered. He succeded in passing through best guarded corridors in the world to enter supposedly unenterable chamber
of the Overking. There he slew Telvan Rax in a manner to disgusting to be mentioned on this pages. With this effectively ends
rule of house Rax and starts period known as the Turmoil Between Crowns. Jaraan then turned uppon Ivid and only his priestly
skills have saved prince's life altrough he was crippled and his hair was unnaturaly white of fear till the end of his days.
After massacre over Hextor's priesthood (including the patriarch that have tortured him) Jaraan realy have left Aerdi never
to return. This stricke of revenge of the greatest Archmage off Aerdi was one of turning points in kigdoms history for from
this day on Aerdi is considered power of evil, in the books of the wise.
413 CY Ivid's cousin, Frevreen Naelax, patriarch of
Hextor refuses to bless the crowning of half idiot, Nalif Rax, Telvan's son as the overking of Aerdy. Thus he effectively
removes Companion guard from the struggle for the Malachite thron. Nalif assumes kingship with halfhearted blessings of Pholtuses
and Zilchuses priesthoods.
414 CY Civil war effectively starts with house Naelax
of North Province refuses to recognise and to swear loyalty to new king. They are quickly followed by some princes of house
Garsareth and house Darmen. Yever Cranden, duke of Rel Deven declares Crandens loyal subjects altrough that causes great outrage
between non Rel Devenian Cranden nobility which was sick of long and innefective rule of Raxs. Yevrl however was understanding
great peril that Ivid Naelax is presenting to the world. Through some fiendish contract he have assured for himself help of
Baalzephon, also known as Baal - The duke of Hell. Yever, scholarly mage, formerly of divination mastery, was now facing threat
as great as any that his prescedords have faced. He knew that Crandens alone can not succesfully face that peril. He set out
to establish aliance that would be able to face threat from Eastfair.
415 CY Third meeting of Rel Deven was held this year.
Representatives from overking come and also some of Garsareth princes, nearly all of house Torquan, most important Darmen
nobles and very important, king Archbold II of Nyrond. Officaly that was conference to reestablish good relationship betewen
malachite thron and "red kings" as kings of Nyrond were known due to their red Coat of Arms. Unofficialy that was attempt
to establish firm aliance against Naelax threat. First day opf the conference, Archbold made himself clear. In return for
eventual help he demanded Almor as Nyrondese sphere of influence in Aerdy and recognition as separate state. Almor was, from
ancient days Cranden fief, altrough more inclined towards priestly rulled Chathold then towards Rel Deven. Assured in necesity
of cooperation Yever issued orders to Cranden nobles who were rullers of Almor and they grudgingly accepted. Two monthss after
the conference overking declared Almor an Prelacy within the Great kingdom, "..under the rule of Prelat appointed by priesthood
of Pholtus with good advice of Overking and King of Nyrond." Effectively, this was semi independence. Scavenging of Cranden
and Rax lands have begun. Every princling demanded this or that estate in return for his help. Soon, archmage and Devric Freshen,
newly appointed altmeister, low noble who was representing retarded overking understood that no one is realy willing to give
substantial help. Conference was quited after three days and only deals that were made were with Nyrond and with northern
branches of Darmen house who have got some Rax and Cranden estates near the Flanmy and Thelmy rivers in return for military
and monetar aid. Money never arived and for military, about seven hundred men at arms came to help with defense of Rel Deven.
416 In third year of what was known as "sleeping war"
probably greatest tragedy happens. Advised probably by some of power hungry Rax nobles king orders execution of altmeister
Freshen. This man was strongly favoured in overking's eyes by archmage of Rel Deven and it might be said that archmage's intervention
have brought him to that position. With his death no aliance between Rel Deven and Rauxes was any longer possible. Torquen
sided with Rax, for mainly gographical reasons and it was clear to Crandens that they will have to lean primarily on themselves
with eventual help of Darmen.
417 CY "Sleeping War" finaly ends as forces of Naelax
under briliant general Kelver Naelax stricke strategicaly important town of Delaric. Combined forces of Torquan and Rax succed
in delaying conquest but not in avoiding unevitable and Kelver succeded in entering Delaric in late spring thus effectively
isolating Torquan cities of Winetha and Rinloru from main part of Aerdy except by the sea. Shortly before the fall, Defreen
Rax, new altmeister sends demand for help to Rel Deven. Unwilling to divide his forces and still expecting Nyrondese help,
archmage decides to contentrate on defence of Inspaa, tradional bastion of Rel Deven defense. Only Cranden that decides to
accept kings and not duke's order was Paladin of Goldbolt, Gemrin Cranden. Gemrin will succed in retreat from Delaric and
will be remembered for singlehandedly slaying a devilish ambasador who was helping Kelver's forces by infernal magic.
Gemrin helped evacuation of many women and children from Delaric and was awarded orb of Rax, highest honour for war time bravery.
In mid fall, Defreen sends order to Rel Deven to immediately accept their vasal responsibilities and to send more then a half
their army to Rauxes to join an army which was planned for counter attack through Flanmi valley towards Eastfair. Duke answered
negatively and was by overking proclaimed a traitor and title of Duke of Rel Deven was given to Gemrin. This was doubly ridiculous
because Yever controled, not only Rel Deven but also Goldbolt, paladin's own citadel. Other thing was that never in history
was a Duke of Rel Deven anybody but highest magician of Cranden family. Several warior nobles of Cranden, however, looked
on this appointment with quiet approval but dared not to rebel against their duke.
419 CY After consolidating in north and repulsing
supposed counter attack, Kelver with Ivid's and fiendish help attacks Inspaa. Almost a year will siege last and soon Crandens
will understand that they have been betrayed. After they have established their foothold in Almor, Nyrondese have had no reason
to enter into what they called "inter Aerdy conflicts". They sent their army north and not east and explained that with increased
struggle against humanoids (mostly untrue) and Theocracy (quite true). After seven months of bitter struggle Inspaa falls
and with their spells exhausted, Yever and his younger brother, grand master of evocation, Kleven commit suicide in order
not to fall into hands of Naelax. Hurven Cranden, grand master of Enchantment becomes archmage.
420 CY Starts war in the East, as Kelver stops his
army at fifty miles from walls of Rel Deven (Avoiding carefully Almor in which Nyrond sends several detachments of army "..to
protect independence of the prelacy..". Siege of Winetha was broken by arival of fresh troops from Rel Astra.
421 CY Naelaxs with fiendish aid succed in conquering
large tracks of land in central Aerdi. Fundamental breakthrough happends when Kelver finaly succeds in surrounding Atirr
and thus conquer fabled Causway of Fiends and direct route to Caludron of Night. Ivid summons large force of Devils and with
their help attempts to conquer Caludron. Using their underground passage, Hurven and most of the eight hurry to meet him and
prevent him from taking over caludron. Great magical battle ensues at the very sight of the caludron itself and it envokes
some force from within it. Force strong and terrible enough that it destroyed most of the present and even devils screamed
in terror on sight of it. Ivid and Hurven succedded in teleporting themselves to safety but almost all of their followers
and six of eight grand master were killed. Some terrible, formless and nameless creature was unleashed uppon the world.
422-434 CY Intensity of operations cease as both Naelax,
Cranden and Torquan attempt to recover from severe loses they have suffered. Never the less, Naelax succed in conquering all
of North Aerdy except for the Torquan enclave, guarded by fierce Mage-Prince Fermen of Winetha. In 434 Goldbolt finaly falls
and so begines the siege of Rel Deven.
435 CY Kelver succeds in almost complete surrounding
of the old city, only remaining route in and out being that that goes down the Thelly towards Kalstrand. Magic of the long
enchanted walls repulses attack uppon attack on tha city.
436 CY Year of great treachery. After given hint from
Ivid, Ferger Darmen, head of the family ceases aliance with Crandens. Another force attacks Rel Deven from Alishia and Darmen
soldiers within the walls oppen the gates. Great sack of Rel Deven begines as everything outside citadel was pillaged and
plundered by Darmen and Naelax forces. Hurven gathers remainder of his troops and his comparatevly young grandmaster into
inner sanctum of the citadel and prepeares to die and destroy magical valuts and lore of Rel Deven. Then Ivid appears in the
city and displays one of greatest feats of statemanship. He pretends forgetting all old grudges with Crandens and in return
for their support to his claim to the thron offers retreat of his troops from Rel Deven and renewal of ducal title to Hurven.
Placed between ungratfull overking, trecharous allies and offer that at least enabled him to preserve knowledge of Rel Deven
Hurven accepts. Thus puting himself in vasal position towards house Naelax. Loyalty of many warior nobles of Cranden sways
away of Archmage.
437 CY House Naelax replaces House Rax on Malachite
Throne. Nalif Rax, last, pitiful remainder of imperial house was captured and executed for high treason. For short time Defeen
will fight street war against Kelver and Ivid within Rauxes itself, utilising it,a many underground passageways, and complex
maze like streets. This "war" will last for about seven months after which altmeister himself will be captured and publicly
executed at newly established Screaming Column. His followers will contiunue their struglle but will dwindle in number and
eventualy degrade from liberation army into thiefs guild, altrough larger and better organised than most. In winter of 437
only two parts of Aerdy that were still unconquered were Almor and Torquan lands. Almor was occupied by "peacekeeping" Nyrondese
forces which population of Chathold endured rather than liked but they were better then Ivid's rule. Ivid reasoned that Nyrond
will not dare to strike further in Aerdy and was willing to sacrifice Almor for silent recognition of his claim for the thron.
Situation was different with two strong cities in the north. Winetha and Rinloru, famous Torquan twin cities were thorn in
his side. From there Torquan warlords were able to disturb trade and any kind of communication deep into north province and,
even more importantly, in Winetha lived now Cranden exile, man whome Ivid hated most save black mage himself, Gemrin Cranden,
paladin of Goldbolt. Ivid wanted paladin dead, not only because of his renowed deeds in civil war on loyalist side, but also
because of some reason unknown to historians. Whether was some personmal grudge or Ivid was able to percieve some great threat
from Gemrin remains to be guessed and probably will never be known because Ivid took the secret to grave with him.
438 CY Torquan operate unmolested from Winetha, Germin
dares on few raids and succeds even in recapturing few important forts near Delaric. In meen time Ivid's reign in great kingdom
starts to seemas much less hellish as it was imagined originaly. He set out to redistribute the land and here he paid his
price for support to his cousins. Hextorite branch of family got whole north province as the Hertzegowina. Kelver was appointed
lord protector of southern province but nominal Herzog was established over him, one more Naelax of course. This was mear
the insult to proud warlord and he will not ever raise his sword in defence or help of Ivid. Ivid restructured churches as
well, recognising Pholtuses church as one of "three pilars of the kingdom" and by returning them all of their ancestral rights
and even establishing arch clericy of Eastfair, much to the annoyance of Hextorites. His reign during first few years might
be described as tight fisted but not despotic. He adhered to reasonable laws of old kingdom and if he worked hard to reestablish
influence of monarch over nobles that was more in accord with peoples wishes than against them. He was brutal however, and
enforced his will with astonishing force and severity. If village would not (or could not) pay tax, every third child would
be crucified, thus number of starving mouths to feed would be reduced and village would be able to "fullfill it's duty to
the crown". Even worst then this, rummors were spreaded that Ivid has personal dealing with fiends but if this was true (and
we today are almost true that it is) it was well kept form knowlkedge of clergymen. Towards city dwellers, and especialy rich
city dwellers Ivid was keeping face of civilised man ho has to use harsh methods to deal with semibarbaric people that populated
his countryside. He did not demand to be crowned overking instantly. He actualy never demanded it. He kept his seat at topmost
stair of malachite throne and let clergymen decide when they are going to acknowledge the obvious.
439 CY Ivid sends enourmous army from North province
and Rauxes to attack Winetha but he fails miserably. Outnumbered in both man and mages (some even say that Archmage of Rel
Deven sent his disciples to the aid of Ivid for this battle) Reverden Torquan and Gemrin Cranden defeated expeditionary force
and chased them all the way to Parlad. Gemrin then turned north, sweeped army of Herzog of north oprovince in battle of Yibernai
woods and triuphantly entered Delaric. This was major blow to Ivid and it will take him some time to recover from it. He however
still commanded enormous (and ever increasing, for not many were willing to risk their lifes for not obeying Ivid) resources
wheras Torquan's were streched to their limmits and their lands were baren except for cities.
441 CY After two years of fighting Ivid finaly succeds
in cutting of Gemrin in Delaric from Torquens. Red Arrows led by Ivid's cousin storm into city and capture paladin.
He was tortureda nd finaly executed on screaming pillar but it is said that gleaming light appeared atop of the pillar at
night of execution and that head of Gemrin disapeared. Various legends are said about disapearance of still living body of
Paladin of Goldbolt and they range from Cranden archmage going himself to kill if not rescue his unfortunate cousin and thus
protect him from worst of all fates, to Rao himself ascending his faithfull servant to Elysium and thus elevating him
from earth's misery. There would come an end to Goldbolt line if Gemrin have not send his young son to Rel Deven some time
ago with plea for archmage to protect the child. Hurven and Ferterwen, who become archmage afterwards carred about boy and
after he come to years he was returned to Goldbolt under name of Victor Serrand. It was known within learned of Rel Deven
that Serrands of Goldbolt are indeed cousins of mages and they knowed it also but cultivated mixed sentiments towards mages
for their help but also for what they considered great treachery of Cranden.
442 CY recognising absurdity of his position Reverdenn
Torquan negotiates peace and submition of his lands to Ivid's rule. He demanded acknowlidgment of his title and twin cities
as eternal Torquan feuds. He got both, but he also got web's assasin and he died early next year from heart attack, most probably
caused by to much crystals of hyacinth injected during his sleep. Winetha and Rinloru remained Torquan feuds for ever after.
444 CY Nyrond finaly retreats from Almor, acknowlidgeing,
but also guaranting independence of newly created country. Ivid dares not to stricke against it for he was still spent in
wars against Torquan and worried about increasing rebeious feeling in Suundi to risk confrontation with Nyrond.
445 CY Great meeting of all Pholtuses clergy happens
this year in Wintershiven. Clergy from all ovver the Flanaes gather to canonical discusion that will last for almost seven
months. At the end, four churches of Pholtus were formed, each respecting others existance (though southern churches still
have had deep resentment towards grim ways of Wintershiven priests) First church was that "Of Blinding Light" centered in
Wintershiven itself. Patriarch of Wintershiven was appointed religious superior of all Pholtus worshipers altrough this did
not give him any real power over other churches. Second was the church of Nyrond, self contained and not willing to mix much
wiuth others, primarily because of the fact that in Nyrond there were growing respect for Hieroneous, Rao and Pelor which
all endangered Pholtuses position as a chief diety of good. Perhaps most influential of all was church of Almor. Closly related
with ruler of prelacy this church examplified virtues of Pholtian religion as it was in days of old kingdom. Most Pholtuses
worshipers from Cranden lands and even deeper from the Aerdy turned to Prelat for guidance. That have left fourth church with
very little support. Church of Rauxes was left without anything, except tradition. It was high priest of Rauxes, Cervernis
Laveranis who was elected patriarch that same year and het set to alnmost imposible mission to preserve Pholtian religion
in Aerdy and to make it shield of the good folk in great kingdom.
446 CY In this year, Laveranis approached Ivid
who now controled almost whole of Aerdy and offered to him and his ancestors crowning from pholtian patriarch and support
from church as long as he respect ancient position of church in kingdom and recognise high priest of Rauxes as rightfull patriarch.
Ivid accepted. He was looking himself for a force to balance might of Hextorite church led by his cousins. For more then hundred
years Naelax, will respect and tolerate Pholtian church. Patriarch in Rauxes will be listened to in meetings of officials
and he will be called to be judge in chamber of essence. Indeed have this inproved situation of inocent within Aerdy
burt it have made it worst for those outside it and also gave legitimacy to house that will spawn greatest abomination in
history of Aerdy.
447 CY For short it seemed that glory of old
days have returned for Ivid succeded in reestablihing peace through the kingdom, but this was Ivid's kind of peace. Tyrany
swept over land. No resistance was tolerated. Companion guard was roaming countryside destroying nobles that Ivid thought
dangeorus. Those in cities were slain by web's assasins. Hextorite church rulled north and south province but not even it
escaped watchfull eye and iron fist of overking. Priest were controled and elected by king's man. Even Naelax who were thought
to be more ambitious or less subservient to Ivid were eliminated and as for house Rax, by all that we know, not a single prince
or relative of that house survived slaughters of this years.
449 CY It was in this year that Ivid's tyrany
become unberable to nobleman. Torquan and most of warrior Crandens along with Darmen and even some of Naelax gathered in Rel
Astra to declare war on Ivid. Greatest bloodshed before great wars started. Torquan and Darmen united, stroke from Rel Astra
north towards Rauxes under Hebrec Torquan, Major of Rel Astra. Crandens swept towards Alhisia and almost knocked out troops
of Herzog as they entered port Prymp. Ivid disregraded councils of his advisors and remained in half desolate Rauxes to personaly
with his companion guard await coming of rebel forces. In that time from the north there was army coming under Tabren Naelax,
one of Ivid's loyal cousins. North army was cought by surprise by several detachments of Almorian army (probably work of archmage
of Rel Deven) and forced top retreat. This have left Rauxes open for prince Hebrec's troops. They entered city in late september
of this year and started great civil conflict inside city iself. Street by street forces of overking and rebel's armies
will clash destroying the capital. In four months Hebrec will controll almost half a city but will be still held at bay from
royal palace and malachite thron.
450 CY Regrouped army of north appeared near Rauxes
aafter long and deadly winter march at early february this year. Understanding that tide of war is turning against their side
once again, Darmens changed coats and as thay have did to defenders or Rel Deven stroke knife into back to Hebrec. They attacked
his supply lines towards Rel Astra and soon he was surrounded within royal city. In this year Hebrec was captured and executed
at screaming pilar and princes of the land have finaly understood that there is no way they can defeat Ivid. In summer of
this year great parade of crowns was held in renovating Rauxes as all princes of the land come to swear their loyalty to overking
Ivid I of house Naelax.
451 CY Sunndi rebels against the Great Kingdom,
joins the Iron League. Ivid's armies were far too wasted by recent civil war for him to be able to respond to this strike,
but he remembered it and never during his reign was ever peace in Sundi. War parties from Alhisia and Medegia were constantly
passing border, killing and capturing population to be sold as slaves in Prymp and Rel Astra.
451-463 CY Not much can be said about those years
of tiranous rule. Ivid fought his long struggle against Hextorite church and craved for more power and theritory but his neighbours
were strong and united and he dared not to provoke them. In 455 all good countries of the north signed "Covenant of Golden
League", document about mutual protection against Ivid's kingdom.
464 CY Ivid I dies, Ivid II ascends the Malachite
Throne. His father's moto: "Tyrany is path to Power" he replaced with "Power is path to Tyrany". Great kingdom sinks
in black despair as Naelax continued toi rule over most of the land. Ivid II however was inept ruler and that gave rise to
independence of nobleman. Neither of them was willing to risk conflict with Guard Companion and execution on screaming pillar,
and so most were sattisfied with torturing their own subjects and not turning on Rauxes. In following years Rauxes will become
city of Evil, and only temples of Pholtus, Zilchus and Bocobb and also great University will priovide shelter from debauchery
and evilness of the city.
466 CY Drax I Torquan, major of Rel Atra and head
of Torquan family threatens malachite thron with new rebelion. He masses soldiers and prepare an attack on Mentrey. Companion
Guard is sent and they force Rel Astrans back to their city but are unable to force them to submission for Rel Astra is almost
unconquerable by siege and Drax have still held sizable navy and was able to purchase food for his city. Expanses of
the war were much greater for Malachite thron then for ebony tower.
467 CY Denarwel Xaene, young mage, enters service
of Ivid and starts rising fastly through ranks of court hierarchy.
468 CY Rebelion of Rel Astra is ended with great charter
of Rel Astra which gave it status of semi independent city obliged to pay taxes and give certain military assistance to overking.
Centurial fief of rebelious Torquans it will become shelter for many groups of "freedom fighters" against Ivid.
470 CY Certain Ruvel, fiendlishly looking humanoid
creature is admited to Ivid's court with position of "high adviser". Some say that he was magic user of great might who was
blackmailing Ivid. Other that he was representative of Baal himself and that his admitance to court was one of concesiopns
promissed to him by first ivid.
473 CY Ruvel insits on attack on Sundi and that passes
through Court. General Szefrin III, grand son of great Szefrin 'hope of north' is assigned to conquer that unconquerable land.
Szefrin makes unexpected attack in late autumn and captures vast number of inhabitants of northern Sundi. lot of them were
shipped directly to Ruvel.
474 CY Szefrin is bogged in vast swamp of Sundi. High
temperatures of Sundian spring and summer decimate his soldiers as well as Sundian partisans. He asks for permission to retreat.
Ruvel rejects that permission for him.
475 CY Against orders from Rauxes Szefrin retreats
from swamp unwillking to risk one more summer there. Ruvel orders his execution but Hextorites rebel against order and declare
that Red Arrows will protect general. He returns to Eastfair. Sundi campaign is continued under uninspired general Gotum Naelax.
IronGate declares war on Aerdi and attacks Gotum's army in north Sundi. Dwarven axe wielders and human light infantry of IronGate
with help of vast number of Onwall volontiers rout Gotum and only intervention of Glorioles army prevent their retreat to
Alhisia to become slaughter.
477 CY Conflict arises between newly appointed
Royal mage, Xaene and Ruvel about controll of magic treasury of Rauxes. Xaene is seemingly victorious.
478 CY Ruve1 travels to Caludron of Night and disapears.
Some say that he has returned to his plain and other that he was destroyed by Nameless Terror that Hurven Cranden and Ivid
I have released. No mage visits caludron for seventy years after this.
480 CY North and South Province are declared Semi
independent Herzegowinas rulled by Hextorite church. In north Naelax nobleman have not protested but in south, son of
Kelver Naelax, Revdern and Heiman Garasteth major of Prymp start open defiance of Herzog.
482 Heiman Garasteth is killed by crack unit of Red
Arrows that were sent to Prymp. Revdern sends his family to Nyrond and continue fighting from his castle Freiburg in central
Alhisia.
485 With help of companion guard Red Arrows succed
in capturing Castle Freiburg. Revdern Naelax is sent to Rauxes and executed on screaming column. From Rel Mord his son, Roland
promises that he will avenge his father even though he was only thirteen at the time.
494 CY Ivid starts to become senile. His four sons
start inter family assasin war to determine succesor.
496 CY Koman Naelax, second son of Ivid becomes head
of family after he have eliminated two of his brothers. He marries his sister Jarga and changes name to Ivid III
497 CY Ivid II is assassinated and replaced by his
son, Ivid III. New king will prove to be wastfull and even less efficient then his father. His major policy will be to indulge
in various kinds of debauchery, to build extravagant houses in Rauxes and to maintain enourmous standing army for potential
war with Nyrond. Logicaly all of this will result in great spendings and he will be in position to constantly negotiate with
dukes for financing.
498 CY Ivid III sends public appologies to Szefrin
family and blame Ruvel for "insane orders that vere given to general". Urged to do so by priests of Hextors, Sefrins reenter
service or Aerdy.
499 CY Ivid starts new building in Rauxes and vincity
in famous or infamous "Aerdy baroque style". Multitudes of slaves and serfs will be killed during those works. In this time
new western and southern part of the palace wil be added to give it's current look of terror and might.
501 CY All dukedoms gain higher state of independence
in exchange for increase of taxes. In this time Cranden mages were usualy led by grand masters of Abjuration and Ilusion
and were willing to let things go their own way sheltered in Rel Deven. But in this very same year Riilven Cranden, grand
master of Divination comes to power as Duke of the City and Archmage. He will be one of most important figures because of
his profecies that he will make based on writings of queen Yalranda.
513 CY After only sixteen years of rule Ivid III is
assasinated and replaced by his oldest son, Ivid IV. Ivid IV will be remembered as one of shrewedest rullers that Aerdi have
ever had. His works, and that of his son Ivid V will return great kingdom to military and political power close to that of
early Rax emperors.
515 CY Ivid IV increases rights of Pholtian church
to almost their nominal level through supposedly independent "Tribunalus Dei" that direct much of state money to rebuilding
of Pholtian churches and temples over empire. Point of this move was to give idea to mighty Hextorite church that their only
hope lies not in separating but in close cooperation with house Naelax under omnipotent Ivid.
519 CY Torquan nobleman, Horwen, cousin of Drax II
is appointed censor of Medegia. In return, Torquans promise enter to theri strongports in the north for imperial ships without
prior notice.
525 CY After short revolt among Sundi and Onwal people
in southern province Ivid changes herzog of south province. Old Herzog dies under unexplained circumstances that ones
connect with Ivid and other with Roland Naelax, exiled ruler of Alhisia.
527 CY Ivid and Hextorites finaly come to agangement
about reelecting Herzogs, as Ivid return that right to church but in return gets right to establish almost whole of secular
hieararchy including military leadership in province and also church obliges that all church raised armies exept for red arrows
should be under command of Ivid.
531 CY Starts "short war" with Almor as Almor claims
lands around and including Inspaa. This move was purposefully provoked by overking as his man have constantly raided teritory
of Almor from Inspaa lands.
532 CY Almorian army makes quick advance towards Inspaa
through seemingly undefendend regions and prepare to lay siege to the city in mid summer of this year. It proves that city
was much better prepared then usual and Almorites remain locked in siege. In the same time first western legion under leadership
of Furgan Cranden, one of Cranden non magic using nobility attacks their retreat lines and strikes them from back. Lot of
horses were employed to move this army from Rel Deven to Inspaa faster then expected. This was first recorded use of horse
transported infantry. From the East, church army of Eastfair along with several legions of north provincial army are hurring
to help in destruction of Almorite army. Almorites start retreat and are badly beaten in battle for Fort Kurast where they
attempted to take refuge. Furgan's forces conquer whole territory between Flessern and Harp rivers thus reducing Almor's border
with Nyrond to almost half. However Nyrond decides to act against danger from Great Kingdom and sends army consisting of seven
hundred knights and twice as much infantry man to western Almor. Prelat is forced to accept this "aid". Ivid understands
that it is not yet time to chalenge might of Nyrond and aborts his plans for total anexation of Almor. Results of this
war were diminishing of military potential of Almor but also increase of it's ties to Nyrond which now realy considered Almor
not more then buffer state between them and ever more powerfull Empire of the East. Ivid on his side starts plotting destruction
of Nyrond.
537 CY New wave of barbarian invasions from
North and reapearance of large number of Orcs in Bone Marsh force Ivid to turn north for some time. He appoints Yegar Naelax
admiral of the fleet and gives him orders to stop barbarians from raiding Aerdy.
539 CY After first defeats barbarians ally with small
state of Ratik whise strong ports prove as good protecion for their longships.
541 CY Yegar is himself killed in one barbarian raid.
542 CY Ivid forces Hextor church to give him right
to announce holy war against Ratik "if need be" and with this threat he insists that Ratik cease its aliance with barbarians
and to hand several barbarian leaders.
Godberd prince of Ratik is forced to accept but aliance is broken only formaly
and only few "leaders" were handed to Ivid. Nevertheless, barbarin raids decrease in intensity.
545 CY Ivid increases ship building capacities of
Aerdy by bribing Drax II to give him right to build ships for royal navy in great shipyard of Rel Astra. In return Drax is
promised inheritable cesorship of Medegia for his family.
547 CY Ivid IV reestablishes custom of Ivid I to control
payment of secular church oficials within Hextorite church.
550 CY The Valley of the Mage is established.

552 CY Heart attack and subsequent complications severly
limit capacities of Ivid IV, altrough he remains in power he is not so commonly feared as before.
554 CY Riilven anounces that Carwen and not Mordenkainen
is to be next archmage of Rel Deven, great shizm that finishes with the deflection of Mordenkeinen and archmage of Evocation,
Bigbi, happens in this year. Carwen starts gathering of the Crandens and try to establish cooherent council of Rel Deven to
speaks in front of all Crandens. For some time it is impossible.
556 CY Ivid IV is assassinated by his son, Ivid V.
Even though he will start to continue shrewd and cautious policy of his father Ivid V will be remembered as one of worst leaders
that great kingdom have ever had. primarily due to the fact that now, while he is still formal ruller Aerdy is just formal
recognition away from the state of total anarchy. Some say that major Ivid's problem was, and still is, his insane hatered
for Pholtian religion. We do not know, and probably never will know what caused this hatered but some say that it was caused
because he was cursed as find-child by one wondering priest of Pholtus. This brings us to another major point concerning Ivid
V. Magical reserach in which this sage have been introduced done in tower of conjuration in Rel Deven tell us that Ivid himself
was indeed part of the bargain that Baal made with first and renewed with fourth Ivid. Ivid IV was forced to accept one specific
concubine from his "friend" and he was obliged to parent the child with her. As soon as child was born Ivid have strangled
mother and ordered Xaene to destoy the body so no one can know who is the mother of the heir apparent. That child was Ivid
V. His youth have passed in debauchery and also in plotting against various nobleman in the court. Un hidden disgust that
all of his "mistresses" and even his slave girls have shown for him made him hate all woman and in the same time look for
"true love of his life". All of this will be well used by Dawnbreakers in years that have followed. It is important to remember,
however, that despite his emotional instability and his outbursts of hysteria, Ivid was not at all a stupid man. He was expert
for low blows in politics but he was unable to play a same game between Pholtian and Hextorite church as his father had and
that will prove his downfall.
560 CY Formation of the Circle of Eight
562 CY In this year certain nobleman-mercenary crosses
from Nyrond and presents himself to Ivid as person skilled in the Art of War who wishes to serve mightiest empire on Oerth.
Suspiciously Ivid accepts him and sends him to serve under Herzog Grace Grennel in north province. Young man's name was Reynard.
563 CY Ivid starts prosecution of all political opponents
in Rauxes. Strongest Impact this have had in Rauxes university where in his year very popular teacher of politics, Iven Beshni
is captured and executed for treason. Demonstrations demanding his release were destroyed in blood. About seventy students
were killed. Secret groups of students start gathering to plan overthrow of Ivid.
564 CY Reynard succeds in driving orcs which have
become menace from southern Bone March. He also defeats some outer outpost of Ratik army and reestablishes border of North
province towards Ratik.
565 CY Groups of students gather and in this year
they form secret Dawnbreakers clan to overthrow Ivid. They look for help towards city and ruler with longest grudge against
Naelax; Drax of Rel Astra.
565 CY Drax secretly promises help for Dawnbreakers.
He allows that some of his shipyards start to build alternative navy that would give fatal blow to old empire once Ivid is
no more. Navy was to be hidden in many coastal caves on the Medegian coast and it's leaders were to be called Duxchaners.
566 CY Dawnbreakers make two separate plans for destruction
of Ivid. First, was to ally with some of Naelax cousines of Ivid and to ignite them on rebelion that would drive Ivid's forces
out of Rauxes and then to storm palace with help of several magic users from Nyrond. Other, grimmer, was to kill Ivid by infecting
him with some incurable wasting disease . Young girl, Arita Thaw volountiers for suicidal duty to carry disease on Ivid. Plan
was that Ivid's death would cause instability due to succesion problems and that Duxchaniers and Drax would be able to strike
fast and before companion guard can be used seize power in Rauxes. They also hoped that priests would agree to crown Drax
Torquan as overking who would then stop prosecution and tyrany and open the age of freedom in Aerdy. Here, we do not
know enough about personality of Drax from his pre-animated period so we can not say how much were hopes of Dawnbreakers
567 CY After series of succes in the north Reynard
is promoted in status of vice General and he serves in south under general Szefrin IV from old family of Eastfair.
568 CY Szefrin and Reynard attack and defeat Southern
league, forcing border of Alhisia all the way to Irongate and Onwall. Strange companionship develops beteween two generals.
569 CY Dawnbreakers succed in gaining "support" from
several lesser Naelax nobleman. They also gain widespreaded popular support in Rauxes. It will prove later that Ivid knowed
all along for this half of the plan and that he allowed it to go on because he wanted all of his potential enemies to show
of in an act of open rebelion. Same year Arita Thaw is given to the Ivid as a gift from Drax of Rel Astra.
570 CY As planned Arita becomes favourite concubine
of mad king and she contracts him with wasting disease that was placed uppon her. Ivid discovers his condition in late winter
of this year when first girl and then he start showing signs of rotting leprosy. He summons Drax to explain himself. Drax
commes and explains that there was no way in which he was able to examine girl and that it is failure of the archmage that
it was failure of the archmage that she was allowed in Ivid's bed. He even hints that it was Xaene who infected girl once
he have found out that she have become dear to Ivid. Ivid interogates girl who keeps pretending that she still love him. Ivid
is unable to think rationaly in this matter and he still belives her. She tels him about being few times taken by archmage
to his chambers and about him doing magic in her presence. Ivid believes her and puts Xaene under arrest. He is still slightly
suspicious of Drax and sends him to Rel Astra with the warning.
571 CY Irongate joins the Golden League and drives
Ivid's forces under the Herzog back to the South Province. Szefrin retaliates but soon he was summoned to helping the northern
lands. Situation was going out of controll. Naelax rebelion under Tuvin Naelax, youngest and least evil of all Naelax princes
was gaining more and more popular support and even though Ivid have massed his troups in the area and expected attack his
health propblems do not allow him to personaly resume command and soon whole southern naelax lands are controled by Rebels.
Grand master of Ilusion in rel Deven ugres with Carwen to send some help to rebels. Carwen refuses. In Rauxes itself Dawnbreakers
start civil revolt form their underground hideouts beneath old university building. One of their leaders is Iona Cranden,
Felixes daughter.
572 CY Certain unknown magic user named Karalock offers
to prevent Ivid from further decay if he is granted title of court wizards and Xaene's old laboratory. Ivid accepts and KAralock
succeds in slowing his disease down. Once again able to think, Ivid starts his plan for destruction of rebels. Southern army
under Szefrin and Army of the North under "terror of the North" famous Baron General Shalaster Garasteth who was responsible
for several succesful punitive expeditons in barbarian lands. As planned Szefrin and Shalaster divide rebel forces in two
and Companion Guard destroys Tuvin Naelax who was divided from majority of his forces. In Rauxes Companion Guard takes on
operation of "cleaning the rat-holes". They succed in capturing almost all of Dawnbreaker leaders. Sea barons attack
Duxchaners after they have embvarked to go to help to their forces in north. In naval battle of Medegia they are utterly destroyed.
No help comes to rebels from Rel Astra.
573 CY War in central lands continue because even
though their commander was defeated Naelax still have had large manpower adventage over two expedition armies. Szefrin was
encircled by large rebel army of Duvin Naelax and nearly killed. he was saved in last momment by brave and genial action of
general Reynard who saves not only general's life but good part of Southern army as well. This battle marks an end of naelax
rebelion and Reynard was awarded title of general of the south. Szefrin becomes military leader of the West. He spends some
time in rel Deven.
574-577 CY Rise of military might of great kingdom. Reynard and Grenel rise enormous provincial
armies and Szefrin prepares strategy for upcoming war against Nyrond.
578 CY Naval Forces of the Great Kingdom and Nyrond
skirmish in Relmor Bay. Again no naval help comes for Ivid from Rel Astra. Nyrondese defend their waters fiercly, showing
that Ivid will not have easy conquest if he decides to strike.
580 CY Xaene succeds in fleeing Ivid's dungeons and
attacks Karalock in his chambers. JHe defeats him but Karalock shows that he have powerfull protector, Demon from Baal's own
guard. While he is busy summoning Xaene takes seveeal of his items and flee. It was said that his escape from dungeon
was done throufgh sorcerous meens and that he died in the attempt succesfuly turning into lich.
581 CY Orcs start attacking in enormous numbers from
the bone march. Shalaster defeats them and kills thousands in two battles but only thing he succeded was to keep them contained
in the bone march.
582 CY Rise of "Great God of North" Iuz and
his attack on duchy of Tenh cause enormous rage in Ivid (which was inspired partialy by his obligations to devils and wishperings
of Karalock). He demads "right of passage" from Nyrond to send armies north to punish the usurper and reclaim Tenh and Shield
lands. King Archbold refuses and orders mobilization of his knights, implying that any attack from great kingdom will be met
with resolute force. Szefrin is sent on the border with his army. He makes large encampments on the north of Almor, near Inspaa.
Shalaster and Grennel start major offensive against orcs in the north.
583 CY Great War begines in Aerdi by the strike of
Almorites. Faced with destruction if they are forced to accept battle on they own ground send force under their great commanders
adventurer Osson and lord Meural to invade Great Kingdom and drive as many forces as possible from attacking Almor. Osson
strikes south east avoiding both Szefrin's army on the north and Rel Deven cutting through northern Cranden lands and thenm
turning south towards Alhisia. He defeats two Darmen armies but turns away from Zelradton and Permanence and prepares to face
his first major chalenge, Complete eastern half of Glorioles Army under general Yvhan Semmel. In meantime Szefrin strikes
North and destroys first line of Nyrondese defences inflicting large casualties on Archbolds troops and almost halfing number
of knights sent agains him. Sea Barons stop barabrian attacks and succed to make short lasting sea-born invasion of
Ratik. Reynard marshals his forces to stop Osson from advancing to south province. Osson develops new strategy of light cavalry
attack and utterly defeats Glorioles Army. Facing Reynard on the west he turns to Medegia. There he gains immense public support
and increases his army. Censor of Medegia flies to Rauxes to ask Ivid for help but he was executed on Screaming Column. Drax
succeds in preventing domination of pale albino southerns over southern Sea Barons. However he does not help with navy
in battle agains Nyrondese in Relmor Bay and Nyrondese succed in bombarding Prymp from sea.
584 CY In terrible winter campaign, Red Arrows
and army of the north rout Orcs of the bone march which disperse to north, most of them duying of frostbite and hunger. Without
resting his army Shalaster turns to west to help Szefrin who have forced Nyrondese with terrible loses to the heavily defended
castle Blazebane. Suddenly, Ivid commands both Shalaster and Szefrin to come south and face Osson who was now dangerously
increased his army by Medegian volountairs and deserters from Glorioles army and was marching on Rauxes. Same orders were
given to Drax and Reynard who were to attack Osson from the south. Unwilling to risk his already diminished army Drax
sends only a token force but Reynard comes in complet might of Southern province army. That was time for another deception
which would spell an end for grat kingdom for in the southern province certain Reydrich, mage at Herzog Chelor's court rebels
and defeats Herzog in magical duel proclaming himself sovereign ruler of Southern province. Osson was faced with three powerfull
armies (from North and South province and Rauxes, Szefrin's army was still fighting in Nyrond) under most capable generals
of Great Kingdom. He was defeated and taken to the Rauxes to be tortured. Littlebit to early, Reydrich announces himself descendant
of Roland Naelax who has returned to claim his ancestral right. Immediately, Karalock recognizes general Reynard for what
he was: Reydriches brother who was all along in aliance with him. Ivid was struck with one of his severe paranoia attacks
(which were even more prominent now because of his disease) and orders all of his generals (and many nobleman) to be brought
in Rauxes to "renew their oaths of loyalty". He also orders Szefrin to arrest and bring Reynard ro him. Szefrin allows Reynard
to go for two reasons: to avoid blodshed whioch would occure if two major Aerdi provincial armies are to face each other on
the battlefield but also to repay debt that he owned to Reynard for saving his life during Naelax rebelion. Reynard cautions
both general and Shalaster not to go to Rauxes. Szefrin decides to go, hoping to convince Ivid to offer aliance to South Province
and accept Reydrich as Herzog so that Nyrond might be defeated. Shalaster receives oredrs from Grnnel that his army is needed
on the north because "orc's are revolting again". This of cource was not true but it was Herzog's legitimate method of preventing
that either him or his best general fall in the hands of ivid whome he perceived as dangerously insane. Drax also went to
Rauxes to beg for pardon for not sending troops and to point to Ivid existance of enormous danger from the south. Many
other nobleman, mainly from naelax house either went volountarily or were captured and brought to Rauxes by the Companion
Guard. Ivid with help of Karalock, Hextor's patriarch and Baal's high lord himself perform the rite of revivication of his
nobleman, turning them in undead Animuses which were supposed to be fanaticly loyal to Ivid. Some of them were supposedly
loyal and wee sent bsck to their positions, often with promotions. Thus Drax was announced Censor of Medegia and Szefrin was
"excused" his treachery to let Reynard leave. In meantime, Szefrin's forces were defeated, due to lack of their commander
and bravery of Nyrondese in the battle of Blazebane. Szefrin however have had specific Ivids orders to stop attack on Nyrond
and make punitive expedition on Almor. Drax returns obidiently to Rel Astra. Szefrin begines orgy of slaughter, rape and pillage
through Almor so different from his usual economic style of warfare. Chathold was captured, raised to the round and salted.
About seventy thousand citizens of Almor were sloughtered during this, nost pointless of all campaigns of the great war. Nyrond,
still licking wounds of Blazebane and pressed by Iuz at north, sent no help. Sometime during tis slaughter Szefrin was visited
by some powerfull entity for which we suspect to be Xaene the Lich. He gave general nine demonic medalions one of which was
supposed to summon Pazrael the Mighty, most terrible opponent of Baal in blood war of the lower planes. Suddenly, spell of
obedience felt from Szefrin (some even doubt thet he was ever obedient and say that he went to conquere Almor so he can provide
himself with the base of opperation) and he strated to make plans of destruction of all life and law in Aerdi. In meantime
six Animuses from Rauxes and Naelax lands made succesfull assasination attempt on Ivid, even though they were themselves destroyed
by the powers of the Malachite thron. Ivid was revived himself by the patriarch and Karalock but soon Patriarch have had to
flee Rauxes because it was obvious that Baal does not want any spiritual mending within his sphere of influence. Grennel
in the north declares semi independence from undead king and so does Archmage in Rel Deven and even Drax in Rel Astra. Patriarch
decides to go to try negotiate with Grennel despite their personal hatered but his chariot was intercepted by agents of midnight
darkness which gave him "invitation he could not refuse" to join Drax in Rel Astra. What followed was complete disintegration
